Just goes to show you taste is subjective. Good thing we have all these options
Absolutely agree...I have plenty of kangers, vivi's, rebuildables....I always go back to my dual coil cartos. (though, i am starting to grow an appreciation for the iclears, they seem to be the best of the clearo types IMO). I do have an HH357 on the way! We will see how that goes. Lots of options for everyone. What one person swears by, someone else may think is crap!

Started with cartos last year. Beginning of this year is when I ended up trying the kanger and actually preferred it over the carto as far as taste goes. I then moved up to getting the Vapage Crystal XL's. Those were great too. Now, I just recently bought the bagga mechanical mod with the Igo-L and currently am in the process of buying the nimbus.

All I gotta say is....if you are or was a Carto fan
you have to try the new Zenisis2 Carto Hybrid
This thing is Awesome. Flavor is amazing.
If you closed your eyes and vaped it you wouldn't
know it was a Carto. Brings Carto to a whole new level :)

What about this tank makes the taste so much better?

You know that's the question that nobody
seems to know the answer to.
Zen says its the way the Carto is used
in the system that changes the way it vapes.
All I can say is its amazing and if you are thinking
of ordering a z2 you might wanna give it a shot.

Nothing compare able on the market.

Sadly a lot on here think cartos are the only thing usable but what happens when you can't get cartos anymore. There are few things made in the us anymore and those are dwindling by the day. Find something you can rebuild yourself - wick and wire are quite cheap. I smoked for 48 yrs I really don't want to depend on any supplier for more than I have to.

When you smoked analogs did you think
Hey what if they stopped making lighters?

I use my Carto Hybrid out and about.
When I get home it's nothing but Genesis and
RBA yes flavor rules but.... Convenience
of the Carto makes it more useable.

When I started vaping about 2 weeks ago, I bought the ego style 1100 mah battery kit with a clearo bottom feeding T3 tank. I honestly couldn't stand that tank because of the harsh/burned hits every ten hits or so. I wasn't a chain vaper. I replaced the heads religiously and still, they just don't hit right. I think it's the excessively small wick on the bottom being completely surrounded by gaskets. So I went and bought a Tesla, which I love. I also purchased a V-Core 2.0 tank along with a DCT tank. I got home and got the V-Core filled. I loved the draw, I loved the taste... but I couldn't, for the life of of me, easy or if at all, get the bottom tank off to fill. I had to take it back to the store and have the guy there take it off using a pair of needle nose pliers. Got it home, couldn't get that bottom tank off again! Thought it was a dud so I had them replace it with another. Filled it in the store, got it home, couldn't get the bottom tank off again! No matter what I did or how I tried. Even sliced my finger open trying. Not happy with it at all. If they made them with reverse threading, I think that would solve the issue.

Ok so I have my new DCT 1.5 ohms and filled the tank. Primed it. Draw after draw is smooth and perfect. My Tesla is set at 3.7v and I have absolutely no complaints at all about the taste, the warmth, no burned or dry hits. One thing that I dislike about them is changing flavors. I really don't like the fact that they aren't conducive to trying out different flavors, which is why God made atomizers. So now I have an order from Madvape for a couple of inexpensive, entry level 510 atomizers. I'm a middle aged housewife, but I'm not afraid of rebuildables, so I may graduate to that point eventually. I do know that the trick of taking out the filling in an old cartomizer and trying to use it as a ghetto atomizer isn't for me. The taste is "funny". Even on a new cart that I've done it to it tastes off and harsh no matter what. I'll be looking forward to seeing how these entry levels vape.

All in all, I don't see me ditching cartomizers for now. They work and they work very well. I just want more options for tasting and I love fiddling with these gadgets :D

Tell ya what I DON'T like - I've been getting a real difference in how juices taste in a Vivi Nova! I was sort of trialing those three units (minivivinova, EVOD, and T3Mini) and I get a real muted flavor - PLUS something sort of metallic off the vivinovas.

Ouch...that's not what I want to hear. I JUST ordered a vivi nova v3, and flavor is pretty much the most important thing to me.

Sounds like maybe your firing it at too high a voltage. I just picked up a Vivi Nova (emergency purchase when I ran out of carto for my SMOKtech DCT) and I gotta say, I'm really liking it. I do know that metalic taste you're talking about. I can taste if if I run my battery at 3.4 volts, however the juice tastes great when I run at 3.2 or even 3.3 (though I prefer 3.2).

The resistance on the Vivi Nova I have is 3ohms, so I was surprised that it vapes best at such a low voltage. I would fire my 1.5ohm carto at 3.4 - 3.7...So yeah, try lower the voltage a bit.

I have gone from clearos, vivi novas, protank, and tank cartomizers. Was complacent with the tank cartos because I was getting really annoyed with the leaking issues of the clearos, vivis and even the protank. I stumbled across the Phoenix Raven Nest tank and its fillerless carto and all I can say is wow, smooth as silk vape and my juice flavors just seem enhanced. Here is a link from gotvapes.com for these cartos. They are more expensive than standard cartos but I think worth it.
