Dude, that's a really harsh shotgun blast. I know you take a lot of crap sometimes because you are "notable" in the community... but come on.

Insulting people who buy what they review, or questioning their integrity just isn't right. Especially since the people who review stuff they have bought haven't criticized *you* (at least that I've seen). And I've certainly never thought badly of you.

Maybe I'm misreading your intent. But I just don't take myself that seriously and certainly do not expect anyone else to. I don't take free stuff, don't take money, and don't care what people think.

What I care about, is the once a week or so e-mail I get from someone who says "I don't smoke because of your videos" or "You were spot on with this review".

Isn't that more important than the subtleties of an e-cig reviewer's methodology?

I think so anyway. It's vaping that is important. Not the reviewers or how they do it.

hmmm, i think you may have miss interpreted what i was saying, I was certainly not criticizing anyone that reviews items that they have purchased. Lots of my own reviews are of things i have purchased myself. ProdigyV3, The Omega, The TekkMod, The Screwdriver, and countless other juices.

you may have missed the part where i said

"I respect anyone that can get on camera and put themselves out there, because i know that vulnerable feeling that comes along with it"

I'm also not sure where i questioned anyone's integrity in any way, The second part of my post was trying to explain how someone (no one in particular mind you) could be just as biased toward something that they paid for, and people that get "free" items (again, no one in particular) have the ability to be just as honest and fair.

i was not taking a dig at you, or anyone else at all. I even said in the first sentence

"I have no problem with people disliking video reviews, to each is own, some people retain information better from reading, or talking, or listening, or viewing. Everyone is different."

i think were both on the same page here, but there is some sort of misunderstanding, i absolutely agree with you that helping people is MUCH more important than subtleties of an e-cig reviewer's methodology?

which is why in my original post i said

"I continue to upload videos simply to help out, because for every degrading or angry PM or comment, there is someone saying "thank you for helping me out" and THAT is why i do it"

i apologize if i offended you, the intention of my post was to say that yeah, even though this thread is called "ANYONE ELSE HATE VIDEO REVIEWS?" that no matter how much you hate them, they are helping someone, Weather or not YOU enjoy watching them.

in the end, if someone doesn't like video reviews then don't watch them, it's really that simple, but don't watch them then complain about them, no one is forcing you to click on youtube and load a juice review up. I personally enjoy watching vape videos. ShanBurkholder has some great videos, as does Basilray and ECFGamer.

Oh my God, rational debate on an internet forum?!? Oh, the humaniteez....

Ya know... the problem with people like you is that something good happens... and then you have to make mention of it.

What's wrong with you? Didn't get enough attention from mommy? Can't get enough review views for anyone to even offer you something for free?

/satire

Feel better?

Sorry, I won't tell anyone you're being an adult. Our little secret will be safe.

And I've gotten free stuff before, TYVM. For a while, I used to be kind of the go to guy for comparing 3rd generation (ie. self juicing) mods. Then my suit and tie day job and familial obligations after the recent death of my father cut down the time I can spend writing about mods and vaping. You gotta love what you're doing to review, it's just too much damned work otherwise.

Personally, I'm a little jealous that GG made my argument better than I did previously.

Since we're well into 'inside baseball' territory here, what are you guys currently lovin' on at the moment? Which mods are you eyeing for the near future?

Well- I picked up a GGTS with AVS and have been vaping it for a month or so. The machining is nice. But in my personal opinion it vapes badly with the AVS. As a battery tube- it's fine.

Got to play with a Super T unit. Very nice. It's a battery tube.

Been using the cone style eGo Mega atty with both drip tips and cartridges. They have the same problems as the others- wicking.

I am also vaping either a stock ego or a stock 901 Riva. I have ce2 cartos and Joytech cartos for when I'm out.

I'm working hard on getting an eGo-T into the states for my personal testing and a review. Also looking at the Super T Juice feed system for personal use.

Unless the atty side or juice feed side of the equation gets interesting, I won't have any personal desire to review anything.

TS and AVS is not a bad little mod, but I found it to be a bit temperamental over the long run. Been vaping a Reo Grand for the last month and I'm really in love with it. Keeping an eye on the Darwin and v2 of the Precious L with Juice Dispenser....but the Grand is going to be tough to beat.

Let me know how you find the super t juicer. It just looks so...clunky.

Keeping my TS for now....swiss army knife of pv's due to its adaptability. But truthfully, I'm not using it.

Yes, for a 200+ investment the TS is nice, but quite temperamental. Certainly not a daily use device.

*If* I get the ST Juicer, I'll have a lot to say. But from looking at the design it may be more problems than it's worth. Initially I was very excited, but there is no tube which extends into the tank, you have to hold it sideways or turn it upside down to squeeze juice through with anything less that a totally full bottle. Consequently the juice won't drop directly onto the atty bridge for obvious reasons related to gravity. I mean it may work- but it's still in the realm of a *hack*. And from a vaper's standpoint I'm tired of hacks and just want something that *works*.

Right now the eGo-T/Tesla Filter/Joytech OEM version looks like it may be the kick in the pants the hardware end of things needs. It's time for tank vaping that works at the consumer level.

what i would like to do is make reviews from a modder pov.
i have received a few box mods and and a few other things people over at VT sent me to look at or repair.
many mods are nice but a few had me thinking "what the".

its one thing to look at a mod and say, its purdry and it makes vape.
its another to say, here are the key elements as to WHY this product is good, bad, or average.

at some point i'll get the money to buy mods then give the modders pov on the ecig mod. with out being long winded. like the rest of the videos i have.
the fact that i sell mods might turn people off to even watching. honestly i couldn't care less if someones mod is better than something i make. its how we progress to have the next best thing.
with out competition we would be stuck in the stone ages
kind of why i made a video on how to build a tekk mod. if you can do it, then do it.

Nice idea, distorted. It's funny, but I've had people write about a mod after I did and point things out that I completely missed. Different perspectives are essential in fully analyzing a product.

Cozzicon, the Reo mods just effin' work. Each time, every time. Solid, solid solid design. I shied away from the first version of the metal mods, the Mini, because I thought the bottle and tubing design would be problematic like the others I've tried. It isn't. I would rate the vaping experience right up there with a ggts/avs when that design is fully functioning. Made me reevaluate where I stood on the tank vs. bottle debate. For ease of use, it is vastly better...maybe a drop of noalox on the end of the switch every week or two. Period, finito. I'll have to check out the ego/tesla, etc combo you mentioned, thanks.
