I have been using the SR stardust's that all meter 2.2 to 2.4 across the gammit. I notice allot of reviewers push these things up around 4 plus volt on the LR's I find if i go past 3.8 the sr's start tasting burnt with all my juices. im happy with them at lower watts, i still find a Kr808 mini set up quite satisfying, Just wondering where you guys set the dial on these things. Im sure juice plays a considerable role, however just figured id shoot it out there.

Hey Teabagger, welcome back! eh!

I had the same trouble with a new rebuildable SD I purchased a couple weeks back.
The thing metered out at about 2.5 ohms. and I couldn't push it past 3.8v on the
Provari without the burnt taste.

I found that after a few days I was able to gradually increase the voltage to over 4v.
Break in time with these perhaps.

While the 2.4-2.5's are classed as SR, I've found the higher 2.9-3.0 ohm. versions work
better for my needs.

I just replaced the original coil(2.4ohm) in the rebuildable SD yesterday with a new ($1.50)
2.9 ohm unit. It's doing fine at 4.6v already. These rebuildable units are my new go to
clearos.

I've got a handful of the 2.9-3.0 ohm regular(non-rebuildable) SD's on hand. If you like
PM me and we can meet up and I'll shoot you one to try. It'll cost you a Timmies though!(j/k)

Have to admit these stardusts have won me over. I am using one lr at constant 3.3v and they just work so well and last forever. still using one after over a month, just rinse it out now and then. I still use the dct at work since i can go all day without filling but home and as a backup I always carry the sd.

Keep trying all the new toys coming down, but have to admit that nothing really works for me as well as the stardust, long wick. vape the 2.1 ohm on regular 3.7 V and its great :)

If I'm getting burnt taste (after break-in) I just push the center metal post down (out of the bottom) a hair so I can raise the silicone cap. It is a bit of a pain unless you've completely disassembled a SD at least once for a good cleaning.

Anyway, how is the draw on those rebuildable SDs? Are they still annoyingly tight? I've gotten so used to the boges and these phoenix bottom coils that when I use my stardusts I end up getting a headache from the draw.

I find the draw very easy. It's only 1 week old but never cleaned yet.
My issue is that it only works on my twist and not on my riva batteries. Think my vivi nova my have pushed the battery contact down or the center post you mentioned needs tweaking
