Owner got in touch with me. Seems he already had another "peggy" customer and confused the destinations... :( Strange the email said my address but the tracking went to another. Simple growing pain error. Just waiting for my order now...
I was hoping the samples would arrive before the weekend but now my mixing session will be with my existing flavors. Cali to Georgia in 2 days doesn't seem possible...

Just depends on what USPS can do for you. My samples came via regular mail so I am thinking that unless he does something special for you shipping wise you MAY see it.... I'm rooting for ya!!

I will say though, unrelated to what I just said,

I requested cheesecake and cucumber (request from a friend) but neither really "tickled my fancy". I should have requested skittles and a cereal one... oh well... ill just buy a new sample pack and go from there.

If the flavors are off, let me know. Not tried either of those specifically, but they are open to working in bettering anything that may need some work. I've already touched base on a few flavors and modifications are in progress, so we can always add to that list :).

As for shipping, most samples are sent 2nd day, so it's possible to get from California to Georgia in 2 days. They made it to Eastern TN in 2 :). Do keep me updated though.

Even the salted caramel?

Indeed - it's artificial flavoring, although they do have natural flavoring as well, just not on this one - the orange and a few others are (unless this was a joke :), in which case..doh...hard to tell so forgive me if it was!).

It was both (a joke and a question) - I really wanted to know...but it seems crazy to have a saltless salted caramel :) Thanks for the info!

It's all in the flavor compound. Labs can replicate nearly any flavor, for the most part. How true it is varies, which is why one vendors varies so much from another unless they happen to use the exact same distributor, but I've yet to run into that issue.

How is the salted caramel?

I have quite a few of them that I'm testing right now and I'm going back and forth with Mike on a few as I feel they could be better if there were slight tweaks and improvements made.

Right now, the new Rice Krispies version is spot on and one of the absolute best I've had. I vaped the entire 10 ml sample bottle away in a few days time. The creamy caramel is one of the best caramels I've ever had and between the both of them, I plan on keeping them in my stash at all times.

Sweet Tart is pretty good, but it's Triacetin based instead of PG, so it tends to be a little smooth instead of tart, and that is one of the few that I am going over with Mike to see if there's something that can be done to bring back the tart flavor that should be there. Sour can be added, of course, but for this specific flavor, it should already be there just because of the name. I expected it, just didn't get it, but that doesn't mean it's a bad flavor - the flavor itself is great.

Gummy Bear is Triacetin based as well, but it works well for this flavor. I love it and even at 15%, after a week of steeping, it's an awesome flavor. I'd recommend starting at 10% and working your way up based on how much flavor you want.

I like the Captain Crunch pretty well, but it has the same "taste" that the Rice Krispies did before it was modified, so I'm actually hoping to see Captain Crunch updated as well. A slight bit more sweetness, without the taste (I'm sure you can pinpoint what I'm talking about - I got it right off a fresh batch). Overall, great flavor though. Just a minor issue for me.

I have a number of them to test and I just received my 2 Gallons of PG/VG in the mail a few days ago, so it's batch time :). I'm going to be doing 10ml bottles without nicotine at first and see how they vape. As each flavor comes to life, nicotine will be added and then a final vape will be done.

That said, I'm looking forward to their upcoming tobacco as well. No time frame, but soon!

I gave up on the samples that I was supposed to get. But, I will at some point order a sample pack from 101. I am pretty sure that Mike would not have forgotten me since I am the one that suggested the sample packs to him via email. I am glad to see that they are working out well for him :)

So I mixed up some Sweet tarts a couple days ago and for some reason the flavoring is not mixing with my base. I have been ultrasonic steeping and the flavoring just separates and sits right at the top of my bottle.

Bummed because it smells really good. Anyone else having this issue?

That does not sound good at all. Is the flavor floating at the top like there is oil in it?

Yeah the yellow flavoring sits right at the top while my base sits below it. When I hand shake it up it mixes fine but is very cloudy, then overnight it separates and the flavor is back on top. Mixing it up and then putting it in the ultrasonic the flavor goes to the top almost immediately.

Very confused, out of the many flavors I have mixed I have never had one do this.

It has to contain oil. I personally would not vape it. JMHO

None of the flavorings contain oil, direct from Mike however, it could be that the triacetin (which is the base used instead of PG) is not as accepting of the heat from the UC as a PG based flavoring would be/is.

I do not believe that she mentioned adding heat when letting it sit overnight though.

...I have been ultrasonic steeping and the flavoring just separates and sits right at the top of my bottle.

UC's, or Ultra-Sonic Cleaners generate heat as they vibrate, some up to 100-120 F :), so if that method of aging/steeping is being used, it could be causing a reaction with the triacetin, thus causing it to separate as it heats and cools down.

It's not definite, but comparing mine which I mixed at 15% with no heat to the above with heat, that's the uncommon variable between the two blends.

The cloudy aspect of the flavoring is the triacetin - any flavoring with triacetin is going to be cloudy.

I will add that the primary reason most flavors don't do this is because not too many flavors use triacetin. The flavoring available from TFA, FA, FW, and various other brands are most all PG based with a few using VG (such as those from NudeNicotine). PG/VG can be heated and no separation will occur, but heating a flavor that uses triacetin instead of PG/VG as the liquid base could separate.

I don't personally use the heating method simply because:

1). If Nicotine is already mixed into the juice, heat will reduce nicotine potency;
2). If Nictotine isn't already in the mix, you need to wait until it cools down completely to add the Nicotine because of #1 :).
