I got my order of pink square and mixed it at 10%. Does it taste like a starburst candy to you? for me it is a nice flavor, but more on the creamy side and not on the fruity side. did I get sent the wrong flavor?

edit: it is a fresh batch, maybe the fruit flavor will come out some more after steeping.

It is more of a creamy flavor. Given that Starbusts do have a bit of a tart & sweet flavor, using something like Malic Alice (which mimics citric acid in candy) could be used to give it a little boost. That may bring out the strawberry a little more, though I've not tried it yet Mike only sent me a 10ml sample for testing and I shared it with other DIY'ers here in the area :).

I just received my first order from One on One. Apple candy, red square, energy drink, red licorice, salted caramel, blueberry and cream. any advise on what percentages to start with for those flavors?

The majority I start w/ 5% and move up from there. It's always better to start low and work your way up until you get to the point that you feel is right for you. I've referred to the flavor percentages others feel are correct and the majority of them are way over the top.

Just to give you an example, TFA's Toasted Almond was suggested at 15%. I could *never* vape it at that percentage and IMO, the person who suggested it at that percentage had a bit of trouble tasting flavors (which happens - it just depends on how long you smoked for).

I always tend to recommend 5%, even with flavors that I work with at higher percentages mainly because taste varies. I like stronger, so if I tell you 12% is good for one and you think it's overpowering, you just wasted 7% of your flavoring :). It's also easily to build up a bottle of e-liquid than it is to break it down.

Almost everything that FlavourArt has is good. It's really hard to get a bad flavor from there and if you do, it's probably because you just don't like that flavor in general. The only flavors that I've not liked are Dark Vapure,

Inawera is good and strong. You'll use them by the drop and typically, most of their flavors don't need more than 6-10 drops per 10ml. You can essentially double the flavor by moving from 10 drops to 12-14 drops

Capella is also good, but they do come off a little on the chemical side until they age. That smooths out after 2-3 weeks.

Dark Vapore I can imagine you don't like, that's a typical tobacco flavor with chocolate which I love to have into a tobacco but I noticed some earlier posts, you not a chocolate fan.

Inawerna I'am just testing now, I must say its already not bad when the bottles arrived and took a smell test, some I can smell nothing while some others smell to cardboard (I know from other extracts this gonna work out after steeping really well), but most of all, not any chemical smell noticeable which I prefer a lot!
I was a bit skeptical with Inawera because of the low price range, I just needed some empty bottles and just gave it a try.
Thx for your comment about Inawera, it allows me more confidence now ;)

A chemical smell disappears a lot with steeping, agree on that, but Ive noticed it will never disappears all, on some way I do smell and taste it over a long time steeping still, it just never leaving.

Inawera's Chocolates are the only chocolates that I will vape. The rest, FlavourArt included, all have this "taste" that I can't tolerate. Tobacco wise, it's the Perique in Dark Vapure that keeps me from vaping it. I have a 30ml bottle of flavoring that's been sitting for 3-4 months because I can't use it. Even at .5%, it literally makes me sick. Much like licorice and anise, perique is on my list of flavors I will never vape :).

Ok about the chocolate, so it's not in generally, sorry my bad!

The licorice and anise flavors depends, it is the same with absinthe, there are just a few good ones but the most are terrible.
Ive made once a liquid with the La Fée, it takes a while to get rid off the alcohol, but it was yummii ;)

No worries :) - Chocolate is a finicky flavor. It's either right or wrong for me, there's no gray area. I'll love it or hate it.

As far as anise, licorice and absinthe, ahhh - no way for me :). I have a strong hatred for any dessert or candy with those flavors, and that follows through with e-liquid. The odd thing is, I love Jager, but in a vape, it's impossible to capture all of the herbal notes, front and back, so flavor wise, it's a no go. I tried Jager Bomb at a local vape shop and had to ask them for a bucket because I felt like vomiting. Just doesn't hit me the right way, but it definitely hits me in all the wrong ways.

The smell and taste are so off-putting for me.

Funny you telling this...
In my childhood, I loved so much croissants that I was eating it one day a little bit far way over top, I never did eat it after again and even the smell is making me still sick, but not that long ago while I was searching for new flavors at the net, I saw some e-flavor croissants!!!... my stomach was turning and thought in the top of my head, "how in gods name they could make THAT one!"

SoCalMichelle has tried the Cream IIRC. You may want to PM her and ask unless she sees this post first :).

Thanx for this thread btw. Been kina unimpressed with the flavors I've received from other vendors thus far which sux cuz i have uh .... load uh flavors still. (went kina bonkers) But I'm Diggin the desert vapes right now an these oneonone folks look very deep in that category. Can't wait 2 put ina order. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Another thanks for the thread, I just ordered a few, strawberry (fresh), peach (fresh), I love TFA juicy peach, and trying out FA's lately some too. I also got their green tea (love TFA's), I am always on the look out for a good tea and peach....sort of trying to clone roar's green peach tea, which seems simple, but I love that stuff, and it just has a great mouth feel and balance. Flavors shipped yesterday, so should know soon enough how they are. :vapor:

I have about 40 One On One flavors, some pretty good, some, mediocre, but for the most part, not bad. I would like to pipe in though, and say DO NOT try the Snickerdoodle, it is absolutely the worse flavoring I've found from ANY vendor, and I've probably got 3-4 hundred flavors.

Not only does this stuff taste very little like its namesake, but it also instantly turns the Base a milky cloudy appearance. Save yourself the money, and pass on this one, seriously terrible.

Not a big fan of it either. It has this annoyingly nasty cinnamon in it that I can't vape.

Cream wise, if you don't mind Acetoin & Acetyl Proprionyl, TFA has a Dairy/Milk flavor you may want to try. I've not had it yet, but some swear by it. Just depends on if you are trying to stay away from those chemicals, or accept things as they are and see them as no worse that what you were doing before vaping (smoking and inhaling 4,000-4,6000 chemicals).

I'm not personally one to add sweeteners to anything as they can sometimes (for me) mask the true flavor. Most flavorings come off plenty sweet enough (to me) without adding them to the mix.

For sweet tarts, you may want to look to TFA for their Sour "flavoring" to boost the sourness of the final e-liquid. Some use it in drops, others up to and around 1-2%.
