I just got the VTR and I like it, I have tried the mvp and it is good too. The reason I chose the vtr is because it goes to 15 watts with a 5 amp limit and kt has the ability to sub ohm. This is great because the coils I lime to build are 1.2 to 1.5 ohms but sometimes they can fall slightly short of that resistance. It sucks when you build a coil that is 1.1 ohm and cannot fire, the vtr will fire those coils. It is a great replacement for my vamo which I thought was heavy but this vtr is really HEAVY! The vtr is also a brutal fingerprint magnet whereas the mvp is not. If you don't mind the fingerprints and weight, it is great. The vtr comes with an iclear 30s which I've used before I got the vtr and it works good. 2 months ago I would have said any protank but I've had no success with their replacement coils lately.

I havent read alot of threads as i mentioned before just coming back to the rooms after 3 years cause my reo mods satisfied me and still do - but i just came back and wanted to try something new . Glad its getting such positive feedback ! For once maybe i purchased something right !!! Sounds like the vtr and mvp are both quality devices -

Just not looking forward to all this tank exploration now :( as i always had a bottom feeder and never used a tank in my life -

I have both the MVP V2 and the VTR, the VTR is my fav tho. The MVP has some cool options my VTR doesn't....pass through, charge other devices with it, puff counter, etc. At the same time my VTR has the weight I like, bigger box, fire button location, and the iClear 30S tank which is larger than the iClear 16 that comes with the MVP. IMHO the iClear 30S is my favorite of all the tanks I have. There's been some bad reviews about the swivel drip tip being metal and people hitting their teeth with it. I remedied that problem with a 1/2" diameter $.50 piece of heat shrink tubing. Hope this helps...

I have both and use both. The VTR is my main rig and the MVP is my backup, I carry both with me out of the house.

The VTR is faster and easier to adjust, has higher adjustments, and now that Ive drilled the ring can fit the same tanks I have for the MVP.

I prefer the weight of the VTR. The fire button is better placed. The Octopus RDA works better on the VTR for me then the MVP.

I like the fixed tip over the rotating tip, but the rotating tip isnt that annoying.

I was looking for my first MOD and though I didn't want a box MOD I started seriously considering the MVP2 and the VTR. Gotta admit I like the looks of the VTR. Very industrial looking which fits my style. I just think it is a little big and I don't like the button placement on the side. Which when vaping puts the top of the box right under my chin. Which to me would just feel awkward. I did originally want something with replaceable batteries. But with the fact that I read most people getting at least a full day and more of steady vaping I figure it would work fine. And when in the car I can just keep it plugged into my phone charger to keep it topped off. Just picked up the MVP 2 last night and love it. Feels great in the hand and gives great vapor. Still trying to tweak to get the right flavor. And with my slightly arthritic hands it feels better than something bigger or a cylindrical MOD probably would.

I'd say if you have a local vape shopthat carries both put them both in your hand and see what feels the best. Performance will be very similar.

I ended up going with the mvp. I weighed what everybody said and incorporated my budget and stuff and i just couldn't justify the price on the vtr right now for me. (The vtr is sharp looking and does have a higher wattage limit)

Maybe if there was a local vape shop and vaped both and if the vtr was so much better then i could justify it. But this thread was awesome. Im sure there were other people than just me weighing the same decision and there was some good information in here.

Now for the real tough decision. What the heck to vape on it with ??? After all the device is just a battery the real nuts and bolts is the eliquid and atty. I havent vaped the 16b that came with it yet. I havent vaped any clearomizer tanks ever. No evod tank, no kanger, no iclear, no nothing. ( english teacher gonna kill me). I always loved cartomizers though. The heat snd the warmth and smooth hit i just love. But i have never used a cartomizer in a tank system. Does anyone vape their kayfun on their mvp or vtr. I think i was going to buy a kayfun clone next month or a tank and some cartos.

Pretty ".....in" device for 35 bucks- variable volt/ variable watt , an ohm reader (which i really needed for some of my rba builds), and it has 2600 mah for 2 days of vaping, and has ability to charge devices in emergency. A battery pack basically,

Now to find the proper atty/tank/topper system for it with out buying 5 different clearomizer tanks. Just want something that works good on it and is a decent vape. I suppose thats a different thread but if anyone has had great luck with a particular topper/atty with jt please chime in or hit me up via PM.

I use the iClear 30S on all my mods and it works fantastic.....easy coil swaps and refilling too!!

Well I was looking for an upgrade from my spinner and to be honest, you can't go wrong with Innokin... You can buy an SVD, a VTR, an MVP, a Coolfire, an 134, whatever. They are reliable and you will be 100% satisfied.
How you can decide then? For me I go to a store that has all of them and try them on my hand because let's face it, you can look at the vw/vv , batteries, functions etc but they will work only if you vape it... And you must like it in your hand to vape it.
That being said I went to my local shop and tried them all and I liked MVP the best, thats why i bought it and I am really happy i bought it.
I know I will be eventually buying more of them but that's me.

As for the tank, I went for a Kanger Aerotank. That thing is a beast... I used the heads it had inside, they performed surprisingly good but I wanted cotton and it was an easy rebuild for my microcoil.
I strongly recommend it.

Hope I helped somehow, sorry for my grammar mistakes.

I wish i had a store close buy to try different ones. I was on a budget this time and i just couldnt beat the mvp for 35 bucks with the built in ohm reader, battery life, battery pack, fits both ego n 510 - the butoon is kinda hard to press but they cant be perfect. I am impressed with the build quality of it as it seems solid. The 11 watt limit kinda sucks .... it goes up to 5 volts so thats plenty for a back up unit. Mine came with a 16b clearomizer. Not bad. In 5 years of vaping that is the only clearomizer i have ever tried as i had basic 901s n 510s that looked like a cigarette then i switched to a reo 5 years ago and there was never any need to buy or use clearos so i never did. Next mission is to find a good topper for this mvp--- a good clearo (if there is such thing- ill research the aerotank- thx for suggestion), or a carto tank --- i dont want a rebuildable as my mainstays are reos with a rebuildable atty and want the mvp to be different - something i can use on a night out or something or long trips. ----- my reo at .7 ohms doesn't exactly have long battery life :(
