Okay, here goes a description of my cleaning tool and its usage:
Cleaning tool parts list:
1 Oral Medicine Syringe (purchased at Drug Store, Walmart, etc.)
1" length of 3/8" silicone tubing (purchased from hardware store, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.)
1 small tie wrap (purchased from almost any store, especially those with even a limited hardware or automotive section.)
I don't have a camera handy or I'd take a picture of it, but the assembly is very simple.
Assembly and usage:
- Attach the silicone tubing to the end of the medicine syringe securing it tightly with the tie wrap.
- Fill the syringe with whatever you want (I use warm water).
- Push the open end of the silicone tubing onto the battery connector of the clearomizer. (On these eGo style fittings the outside of the tubing will slip inside the fitting and the battery connector will slip inside the silicone tubing. Perfect fit.)
- On my first wash I let the water flow through the head and out the end of the air tube so it will flush out any large particles.
- On subsequent washes I plug the end of the air tube with my finger and SLOWLY push the plunger to force the water out of where the wick comes out on either side. I do this 3 or 4 times to wash the wick as clean as possible.
- Remove the head from the syringe and do a thermometer shake to remove as much water from inside the head as possible.
- You can dab the end of the wick with a tissue to remove any dampness if you want to.
- If you have a Kanger T3 and don't remove the liquid from the tank remove about 1/2 of the cotton ball off one end of a Q-Tip and push this through the air passage of the tank from the open end to the mouth piece to remove any moisture there.
- Then dab the other end of the Q-Tip into the open end of the mouth piece to remove moisture from there.
- If your tank is empty you can ignore the above 2 steps and just wash the tank anyway you want to.
- Fill the tank and reassemble the head.
- Let stand upright for 5 minutes or so to allow the liquid to displace the water on the wick.
- The first puff or two might be a bit weak, but it will soon return to full capacity.
Takes about 5 minutes, or less, to clean and I clean once a day.
Enjoy.
