I just received my ProVari and my initial impression is...I am impressed. First of all, I was expecting to get it on Monday or later, so the shipping time was very short. Second, it looks and feels great in hand, very solid and substantial, if you will. You can tell that it is a quality product from the first look at it. I cannot believe how smooth it feels when you unscrew the battery cap, it is buttery smooth. Charging the batteries now...

The store I got mine from did not have the color I wanted but as soon as I held it I knew I was leaving with the sliver and red led. I could not help but falling in love at first sight feel.

Exactly the same as mine. I got the kit, which does not allow to choose a color, but it looks great.

The manual explains how to get to different functions. Basically, you press a certain number of times to get to different functions. 5 times to change the voltage, 11 times to check the battery, etc. There are no shortcuts, right? You have to press a certain number of times every time you want to access a particular function. Just wanted to double check that I understood the instructions correctly. Thanks.

Yep. 5 times to Pu (power up), wait a moment, then it displays current voltage and pushing the button will raise the setting.
But, for example, to check the battery, I have to press 11 times every time. There is no way to get to the "check the battery" function, for example, from those 5 initial clicks, right?

Nope, Provari is just actually accurate and built like a tank. Menu is no harder for me than it was on the Vamo, actually probably simpler for me. Just one button, push it five times, select option.

Battery options aren't an issue for me, I wouldn't buy a VV/VW device for stealth, so just a normal provari is fine.

Had two vamos, one broke and one I sold. Good for $40 but never got used with the provari around.

Different strokes for different folks. The amp limit, archaic menu system and the lack of multiple battery size capacities out of the box are what have prevented me from buying a Provari for some time now. That's not to say I don't think it's a good device ... just not for me and my money right now. Honestly, the only time I use regulated mods now is while at work ... and sometimes I bring a mechanical with me there as well.

For my vaping style ... my Zenesis is by far a better device than the Provari. Someone else might feel the opposite. That's just how these things go.

I do think the Vamo is a good device, just not as good as a provari. I think the funniest thing about the vamo is people talking about the power it pushes, even though most of them are using single batteries. So it's not really pushing it. I actually like the provari's honesty, it just doesn't fire past it's limits rather than firing lower.

The only two devices I really use are an EA/ZAU combo and a Provari, so I see a place for mechs and regulated. Not really something I would compare though.

If you were to look at my posts, I encourage people to get evic's, vamos, itastes, zmax's if it fits their needs and budgets, I just don't necessarily think any of them are better than a provari. I've literally had all of them too.

I hear you. Just saying that the OPs question is rather subjective. To some ... the Vamo could very well be "better" than the Provari and vice versa. In fact, there ARE people who use their Vamo as a main pv and their Provari as their secondary. It just depends on each person ... what vaping style and features they prefer.

Truth be told ... nearly every device coming out these days is "buy worthy". My recommendation to the OP would be to not get caught up in the hype or opinions of others. Make a list of 2-5 devices you're interested in and check out the reviews and specs. Once you have the scoop ... decide which one you think you would prefer.

I just received my Provari yesterday. I'm quite impressed with it. I have been using the same Darwin for the last 2 years (and it looks it.) The Darwin is a great device but it leaves a lot to be desired in the looks, fit, and finish dept. I used Silver Bullets and Chucks before my Darwin, and using the Provari I remember how much better I like the tube style as opposed to the...I guess "tire gauge" style of a Darwin. Is it the best? For me, as I sit here, yeah. But there are so many great devices out there now. It's completely subjective.

Is it supposed to make a searing noise every time I press the button?

I have tried filling the cartomizer by dripping in it (not in the center) and by using the "condom" method. I have not been very successful thus far. First time it smelled burned. Second time it looked saturated, but no matter how much I was blowing it out, I was getting liquid in my mouth and after a few vapes it did not look saturated any more. The videos on how to fill a cartomizer look very easy, but my initial impression is that it is not easy at all. What am I doing wrong? The cartomizers I am using are from ProVape, it is a pack of 5, they are black with a silver thread and two little holes very close to the thread, not in the body. The box has a label that reads "510D SR Black." I have checked resistance. It is 2.8. Thanks.

Ack cartomizer help I can't give very good help as soon as I found a better way I jumped on it ASAP. The way I filled mine was drip method. Roughly 20 drops equals 1ml. I always filled mine wrong I always had stuff coming out of the bottom hole. I was so greatly relived when I found kanger bottom coil clearos.

Is there a better vape than that from a provari? Its personal preference, really. For me the iHybrid blows the provari out of the water in terms of performance and the BAM(Big ... Mod) is better than the provari, due the 26650 battery. I use my provari for my dripping attys. For dripping it works fine. Are there better mods for dripping? Yes, but they arent often(if ever) in stock, and those that manage to get them dont often(if ever) sell them. That is the reason I own a provari, I couldnt get the mod I wanted so I got what I could get. Do I like my provari? Yes I do. Is it my favorite mod ever? No, not by a long shot. But it is a good mod none the less.
