When I 1st started looking into vaping I thought it was the anwser to smoking in non smoking places like stores and restaurants, but now I believe all ecigs will be banned in all public places just like real cigs due to the vapor looking like smoke and people being uninformed about pv.

I have read alot of people talk about the ecig in public and seems like even if they know its not a real cig it has real looking smoke and they dont want it in there store or restaurants.
when your blowing vapor in the air it looks like smoke, and since its not instantly going away and lingering some its just like a real cig to most non smoking people and they look at you like your a badguy and no differnet than really smoking.
I think this is a real concern with trying to get the ecig to be accepted by the public and businesses, it looks to much like a real cig because theres smoke like a real cig, people are hardheaded and dont accept change easily.

Is there anyway to make the vapor clear?
lol yes its sounds nuts but i think its the only answer for real public use and acceptance

I don't know, but I don't think you could get clear vapor. I get less when I use high PG juice, but it will be there.

I would hate to see authorities try to ban ecigs based on them looking like analogs. I would have to get out my soap box for that one. It would be the same as throwing a guy in jail just because he looked like a criminal.

I don't know how long you've been vaping, but I've only been doing this for a couple months. So far, it has been interesting getting to show people what it is. That is the only place the general public will become informed. We just have to be seen and help inform.

I've no idea how to make it "clear". The vapor reflects light, so it's going to have to be some color. VG produces much more vapor than PG, so I'd say going 100% PG would be your best bet. Also, be discrete in public if you find yourself in such a situation. I've had to explain a couple of times that the vapor is not smoke and doesn't come from the burning of anything and people have always been intrigued. I guess it's inevitable that you will run into people who won't listen and won't get past what they are seeing, though. Also, I really don't vape where I can't smoke. Where I live it's illegal to smoke in most public places, certainly restaurants, so I just don't vape there either. Plus, my devices look nothing like cigarettes :)

Stealthy vaping ... hold it in a bit longer. Your exhaled vape will get progressively less visible.

When I'm outdoors I don't care who objects. When I'm in a public place where smoking is expressly prohibited I tend to abstain. Although, I might sneak a drag in while walking down an unpopulated aisle in a store. But, only if I don't plan on getting out soon.

I stealth vape everywhere and have become very expert at the requisite "sleight-of-hand" (and sleight-of-breath). It's easier now that I have an eGo (no light at the tip), but I used to just cover the light on my 510s with an opaque pen cover if I wanted to go stealthy. I've stealth vaped at a table with four other people in a crowded restaurant and no-one had a clue that I was doing anything more than pensively resting my chin on my palms.

Very good description of stealth vaping.
Sometimes I forget to remain sleight-of-breath and with Winter arriving, it may just be dismissed as Winter-breath. lol

To be honest, I don't even think about vaping most places now. In the beginning it was very much on my mind.

I dont think the ecig will be illegal just ban in public places like cigs are in some states due to it looking like smoke from a cig.
if there was a way to make it gas instead of vapor it would be solved, im sure in 20 years it will exist lol.

Im sure in places like california they will over look the ecig but here in ( the Real bible belt ) south carolina they dont like change lol.

thanks for the steath vaping info to lol

Well, "stealth liquid" exists.

I think most of us like to see the vapor, most of the time, judging from the constant quests for "huge plumes of vapor." When I "stealth vape" I never find it quite as satisfying. Don't usually do it unless I'm really jonesing.

(ETA2: I give up. You Google it. The board is cannibalizing my links.)

Just start using an electronic cigar then. Load it with some Pralines and Cream or Brandy, and you'll be good to go.
