Yeah those looked sketchy, mine sits in a box. Under extreme conditions it gets used :)

Okay so chances are the batteries are as sketchy as they look. (At the price of the kit, they are probably the exact same batts that L-Rider shipped out. I'll head over to Super-T or RTDVapor for some real AW IMRs.

That mess aside, no complaints on Apollo's Lavatube?

The buttons are "piston-like" in that they will come out of the body of the device slightly if you flip them upside down. This causes a faint rattle sound if you shake the device. I believe this is a universal trait to all lava/vtubes. Other than that, the voltage does go up for each and every click of the + button, so it must be working, and it seems great to me. I love it. There were some minor cosmetic issues out of the box but I can't complain when I consider the cost and I'm assuming the chances of getting cosmetic flaws is one in a million. (low odds) Simple things like the paint/plastic coating fraying on the right side of the LCD screen, which was fixed by rubbing with my fingernail. Really shouldn't even post such minor things, but whatever. Its the perfect priced, perfect device and I think anyone would enjoy using it.

With the button positioned on top, LCD screen facing the ground, you can activate the device with your index finger and this replicates smoking a cigar. The size of the device is cigar sized in circumference and less than a long cigar in length.

Did you find that out of the box, the supplied 510 atomizer was great at 3.7 volts, but once used for a day or two, you had to up the voltage of the device to match the brand-new performance? I am finding that I either need to drip more than when I first got the atomizer, or put the voltage up. Two drips gives me 2 to 3 nice puffs, and 4 to 5 puffs total before a huge decrease in vapor production, or increase in burn taste. When I first received the new atomizer, 2 drops would give me 5 to 6 consistently large vapor, strong throat hit puffs. So, the vapor and throat hit is definitely dropping off as the atomizer gets more use.

I ended up sort-of "dry-burning" the atomizer. I let it get down to a point where it began tasting like a dry atty, and then I simply pressed the fire button 3 or 4 times, 3-4 seconds each time, then refilled with 6 drops since I knew it was empty now, as if it were a new atomizer. This worked and its like new again.. I find that dripping at an angle onto the metal walls of the atomizer is much better than dripping onto the mesh. Dripping onto the mesh somehow ends up producing a tighter draw and less vapor.

It doesn't need to turn off by itself because you have the 7 click option to check your battery whenever you'd like! Just put it on the charger when it reaches 3.4! I don't notice any drop in vapor or throat hit even at 3.4 and I believe the battery is officially dead at 3.3 so, I just try to get it on the charger when I see that it is nearing 3.4 The battery lasts me two days before I have to charge.

My Apollo Tube is vaping no more.

The device turns on, shows voltage, but doesn't actually send any voltage to the atomizer. The problem is either in the circuitry of the Apollo Tube or in the battery. Since I don't have a spare battery, I don't think I can narrow down the culprit any further.

The atty works just fine in my ego-c, so I know that part is ok. One complaint about the atty is that it leaks soooo much, even with just two drops.

Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to return the entire kit for a full refund or to return the battery. Definitely a frustrating experience for me.

Are you sure that the center post is touching the bottom of the atty? You can try pulling the center post up with a paper clip or something similar. It happens from time to time with most devices, and that sounds like what's happening here. Maybe. It might be dead. But try the easy stuff first is my motto.
By "center post", I'm assuming you mean the top of the batteries 510 connection. At any rate, there's now way I can see if that is touching the bottom of the atty since that section is recessed in the 510 connection area.

At any rate, suddenly the thing is working again. Can flooding the 510 connection with juice cause the metal pieces to not meet when fully screwed down? I'm sure I fully screwed in the atty before when it wasn't working. I tried to dry up the area as much as I could -this atty constantly floods while I'm (newbie) attempting dripping. It still didn't work.

Some time passed and I figured, maybe I could just attempt to drain down the battery by clicking the clicker over and over at 6volts. About 30 minutes passed.

And now it's working again.

What is going on here.

Glad it's working again. Here's a primer on center post pulling.
Atomizer and Cartomizer Connection Problems | Vaping Guides to the Electronic Cigarette

But yes, if you get a bunch of juice in the connector, it can cause it not to fire, as it will short out the electrical connection. If you can see juice in there, what I do is put a paper towel or kleenex or q-tip in there and dry it out. (This usually happens to me with leaky ce2's.) For dripping, especially if you're doing a lot of it, I'd suggest a drip shield and a 510-510 connector. I got mine at empire mods.

EDIT:
^^ wow.. What a strict policy. I threw my disposable away right when I got it. Yuck.
It's crazy. EVERYONE, SAVE THE FREE DISPOSABLE THEY SENT YOU. DO NOT USE IT. HIDE IT IN A SAFE PLACE. I don't know if they'd hold your feet to the fire on it, but if they do, it's a shameful loophole.
