Ok, I posted back in 2010 on my first vaping journey but didn't post pics! I'm back for round 2 :). I now have a 4th Basset, still just one cat. The only non rescue critter is Snap.

This is Rosie, queen of chair thievery :)

Her brother Tucker, also a chair thief.

Awww! Love the pics!! :) We had a Lemon Beagle--George--for 10 years, and he was the sweetest guy!! He was also a chair thief! :) He'd sit in front of me, raise his paw, and when I got up, he would commandeer my spot!

He also had a way of playing that's been passed down to our other dogs--to my surprise. He would grab a hind leg of whatever dog he was playing with, and gently tug on it. He taught my sis's dog Pooh, to play like that, before he passed on, and Pooh taught our other dogs as well, before he passed. Now, whenever I see our other dogs playing with each other, it comforts me to see them play just like George and Pooh.

I know this thread has gone on for a long time, but I just love to see the pics, and read the stories of all the fur children!! Thank you everyone for sharing!!

I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. One of my dogs is a chinese crested, one of those hairless and the other is a long haired chihuahua. My cresteds name is Handsome and the chihuahua's name is ceasar. Every one of my pets are rescues and almost all are special needs, especially my one kitty named Bobbles. He pretty much needs 24 hours of care. I just love my pets, they are like my children. Husband and I are empty nesters.

Got her completely out of the blue as a stray rescue on account of her hanging around a friend's house for weeks. It was winter, about 10F out, and then she started sneaking into his house...when he had a preggo GF and other young kids. So he was gonna call the pound on her. I took her home instead and I'm rather glad I did.

This is me and my baby when he was cute and little
Donnyspics519-1.jpg

He's a dark yellow Dudley lab (he doesn't have pigmentation in his nose/around eyes/ mouth, that's an actual "Lab" term), and he is me in dog form personality-wise, which is perceived by anybody that knows me with mixed feelings (I'm a little all over the place, but very loving)
This is him now

2 Dogs, 3 Cats and a bunch of fish tanks checking in.
Cats we always had and always will have. Love the doggies also but the fish tanks will not be replaced when they are empty.
Thats getting to much work even though I know I will miss that very much after having those for 35+ years.
The cats and one dog are all rescue pets.

The cats just love me vaping now. Always one around me now unlike my smoking days as they hated that smell.

I have a dachshund (metro) I've had him since he was a pup and going on 7 years now, a couple of years ago he had some issues with his rear legs not being able to use them, i did quite a bit of searching for a solution to his problems and had many vet visits with no changes to his demeanor. I started looking at doggie wheelchairs and came across a few posts suggesting acupuncture, so i found a vet near here that specialized in acupuncture for animals (horses, dogs, cats) so i made an appointment for metro and got in the next day. To my surprise he behaved rather well while being stuck with all those needles, just needed a bit of an ear rub to keep him from trying to run off. After the treatment it seemed his spirits were lifted a bit and that was a plus for us all but 2 days later to our surprise he was up and walking like nothing was ever wrong, to this day he's still up and walking around and happy as can be.

this is Duke, named after John Wayne because he walks with a swagger.

His mom's milk dried up at 4 weeks so he lived with me 24x7 from then until he was 3 months old. I brought him to work with me every day so I would feed him

He likes to watch TV, usually the animal channel

He also had a way of playing that's been passed down to our other dogs--to my surprise.

They do learn from each other, don't they? Not always in a good way....

My first dog was a rescue and didn't get socialized properly when she was a puppy. She got named Princess because she was one - she'd commandeer any down pillow or comforter available, it didn't matter who else wanted it. She'd plop down and slowly press the offender off "her" bed. She wouldn't eat unless I was sitting next to her bowl, waiting on her. She wouldn't go outside in the rain, or if it was too cold, or if it was too hot, and she hated dirt on her paws. She's the only dog I've ever seen wipe her feet, and she did it whenever she got off dirt. She was full grown when I got another pup to keep her company, and her patience was.... a little short. Puppy Madison would grab her whiskers and she'd snap at him. Years go by and beloved Princess passes on, and a new puppy, Colby, comes in. Madison treated Colby exactly the way Princess treated him. And now Colby is the same way with Kylie.

Princess is still the only Princess, though.
