I have 4 doggies and 2 kitties. They are all rescues.

I call them my fur children. I have a .... hound mix--he's 7, a black lab/pit bull mix--she's around 8 or 9, a shar-pei--he's 5, and a mini Dacshund--he's 5 also. My girl kitties are tortoise shell colored. They are a little shy with strangers, but they love us!

In my area, people don't think twice about dumping their pets in the country to fend for themselves. And the poor animals are likely to get shot as well!! That is very common here. It is against the law, but it isn't enforced at all. That infuriates me!!
I've gone back to college to get my degree in criminal justice so I can legally do something about it!

Two dogs, three cats, two rabbits and bird. This is not including livestock because they are NOT pets.

The two dogs are brothers (terrior/briard), both rescued, the three cats all brothers and also rescued (Bengal mixes) The two rabbits are English spots one boy and one girl, gifts from a friend. The bird is a boy parakeet and he need a girlfriend.

We have a Weimaraner, as you see in the avatar. We adopted him through Louisville Weimaraner Rescue. The sweetest human like dog I have ever met. Hes 5 yrs old now. Loves to sleep with our little one.

BEAUTIFUL dog. One of my friends had one and his dog loved to please, but he was so smart it was scarry. One of the reasons I would like to live forever would be to have the chance to live with all the different dogs that I will never be able to own.

I've three cats (my avatar) Jasmine, Cammie, and Cookie. Cammie and Cookie are brother and sister, Jasmine I rescued from an old neighbor who was neglecting her. (left her in a crate in the middle of 95* weather, no food, water, for two days. I literally took her, and told him he wasn't getting it back. He was perfectly fine with it lol) All are members of the family, the kids are very attached to the kitties. Or maybe it's the other way around? In any case, my husband is not a cat fan. He calls them Stupid, Skittish and Fatso... Husbands aren't included in pets as a category, right?... :D They are all indoor kitties, and the squirrels love to tease them outside the sliding glass door.

He is,he's like a human, its un real at times, sorta scary but we love him dearly and its so obvious how much he loves us. No leash,no need. You can adopt one for less than 200,but its like adopting a kid. Paper work, house visit...funny
