Are you vaping to give up smoking all together or is it your hobby now ?

Decreasing nic to 0mg is my ultimate end game, but I doubt I'll quit vaping even after reaching that goal. Started with 24mg and now at 18mg in 8months...still got a LONG way to go.

This is my goal as well. I'm analog free for 3 weeks now, and I want to eventually end up with 0mg nic. I will continue to vape once I've reached that goal as it is quite enjoyable, and is more to me than a convenient nicotine delivery system now.

When Mr Robin first suggested ecigs, it was mostly for traveling purposes, for those times I couldn't smoke for hours. He was thinking they were ok on airplanes. So I started researching them and stumbled across ECF. I read all the stories about people actually quitting cigs with hardly any effort! And stories about others and their journey of cutting way back with the goal of zero cigs.

So I read and researched for weeks until I decided on a mid level PV. Why spend a ton on something I didn't know would work for me? Nothing else worked so far. At the same time, I didn't want to go with a low end PV, I at least wanted to give it a fair chance. It took a month before I totally switched and still had almost a full carton of cigs but they tasted soooo nasty. I just let vaping work those cigs out of my life. No stress about "having to give them up". If I felt like I really, really needed one...I had one. Vaping just tasted so much better.

My nic has dropped from 24mg to 12mg now and I'm planning my next drop soon. I would love to get to zero or 3mg but have no plan on stopping vaping. I'm very addicted to the hand mouth habit. Hell, I've been doing that for more than half my life! I don't know how to relax without, first the cig now the PV.

Wow lots of great answers and feedback :)

I previously vaped but then went back to analogs. But now iv been back on vaping for over a month now and have no intentions on going back.
The reason why I asked this was because I started using e cigarettes in hope to give up but now it's turning into a hobby. Becoming a bit obsessive looking at what I could get next. What crazy e juice flavour can I find etc etc!

But also finding out now that it's really not cheap! But when it saves a lot of health problems in the future it doesn't sound much.

Three years after starting to vape, I'm still vaping. I dropped to about 6 cigs a day the first week (from 2 PAD). I did that for a couple of years and quit the last few a year ago. Yes, it's a hobby I enjoy these days. After all this time, vaping is still considered not as healthy as quitting, but no one has revealed testing that says its dangerous, so I still enjoy it.

Funny, I hardly ever got colds when I smoked. This year I picked up a cold. Is it chance or are my throat and lungs more vulnerable to airborne viruses since they healed? This after reading a press release from the CDC saying that PG in vaping fog might protect vapers from airborne viruses and the flu virus.

i have tried to get off the cigs for years unsuccessfully, we have bought some cheapy 7-11 ecigs, although in Canada there is no nic in them, they help with the physical movement behaviour, but I like the nic, I like the look of the smoke leaving...I ordered a kit for myself, my sweetie and her mom yesterday and we are all excited to get them and start our life as non-smokers, and be vapers. We may get off the nic, but for now, we are wondering what took us so long, and why when you can get non-combustion nic and wicked flavour we'd ever pick up an analog again! Happy Vaping...your body thanks you with every yummy puff!
