Popped up at MyVaporStore in time for their Cyber Monday discount ($30.59 before shipping cost):

Innokin Ares RTA

It's a shame that Utah is lame when it comes to vaping and most things that are fun. MyVaporStore won't ship to Utah. Makes me wonder if it will still ship here if I put in a different state, but the correct zip code....hmmmmm

As I wait for the Ares to be released I decided to go old school and used the SX Mini M Class and A kayfun 5. I keep finding myself going back to MTL tanks (with a big 23 watts). Best flavor and a very enjoyable vape hands down.

Bam! VaporDNA has it. Ordered in Black. Hope I have it by Friday when I leave for vacation for a few days. Excited to try it. Hope I have better luck with it than I did with the Siren 2.

@access0denied
If I may ask, why didn't you like the Siren 2 ??

The airflow control on the black 24mm that I got was next to impossible to use. Flavor/vape was far from amazing. Tried a few different builds without much change. Granted I was also comparing it to the Kayfun Prime. I event thought the vape was better Siren v1 compared to the Siren 2.

I've heard that twice now... that the diffuser was preffered over the 3 hole deck.

Not sure what to blame it on, but my Kayfun Prime beats the Siren 2 hands down IMO. The Prime doesn't have a that diffuser, and has a three port looking thingy dingy. Not sure if it's my build or what. I've tried three different builds in it. But the airflow control being next to impossible to adjust is a big reason why it's just sitting there collecting dust.

    I think the 3 hole opens to much air and it weakens the flavor on the Siren V2. They made great improvements with the V2 but at the cost of flavor. The flavor is there but seems like it's wide open where the Siren V1 was more defined. The weird thing is it's not a airy vape, it's a very smooth vape. I've done 3 different builds with 3 different liquids that I know how they should taste but they taste all over the place compared to the Siren V1 that has a tight defined vape taste. I hope you can understand my explanation but that's the best way I can describe it.

    Oh, I understand all too well, Bob. I love my Kayfun Mini3, but wanted the exterior AF, wire trapping with the K5. Tried it, and even with a restrictor, even when the draw felt right, it just wasn't as dense and defined. Got the Prime, thinking this would be it - not so. Same effect as the K5, only not as pronounced. Funny, because it seems so close in so many respects to the KM3, but I just can't get the sharp, defined flavor from Prime, regardless of build, coil proximity to the air "port," etc. And it it's not that the draw isn't perfect - it's the smoothest quietest tank you could want, on any setting. Although no one else seems to be complaining about the "loose" vape on the Prime - I haven't heard anyone complain about it. I've been waiting to see on this one, but I'm not sure why. Like I said, everyone seems to love the Prime, but it's just not for me. Forget the features, I want the good vape, and I can't get that solid throat hit out of it or the K5. I guess I'll just have to buy the Ares and try it.

    Same for me, that's what I did and if it's a bust I'll stick with my Siren V1's.

    I have seen it posted that to get Good flavor;

    an atomizer has to have a concave atomizer chamber
    or a short chimney
    or a small opening in the drip tip
    or a small opening in the chimney
    or a small opening in the air flow ring
    or for the coil to be closer to the drip
    or for the air tube opening under the coil to be small
    or for the whole atomizer to be short.

    Maybe getting the air molecules, and juice molecules, broken down into smaller combinations is the answer, or maybe not, I don't really know what makes a flavorful vape, other than to buy an atomizer and try it first hand to see if it does, cause just looking at a design hasn't worked for me at least. That, and flavor is so subjective anyways, who knows. If anyone figures this problem out, Please tell us so we can quit wasting our time and money on atomizers that Don't work for us. So far my Siren V1 is my goto RTA for flavor (but I really had to play with it first), with my Berserker a Very Close Second. We shall see with this New Ares RTA, once we have it in hand and able to vape it.
