My silver aromamizer arrived yesterday, I haven't gotten to put a build in yet but noticed it's pretty darn clean, not smelling any machine oil, is it safe to use out of the box or should I clean it anyway?

Mine looked pretty clean as well but i could taste the machine oil on it. I would clean it just to be sure.

Had to wash mine in detergent twice before I'd got rid of the machine oil taste.

Well, just had my first successful use of Temperature Control! (not perfect but on par with Watt Mode at least!)

Thanks to Cigatron's suggestions I went ahead and built this monster 430 SS 22G Dual Coil, 3mm ID, 7 Wraps each, Coming out to 0.08 Ohms! What is really weird tonight is that at first I prepared the coil using my Sigelei 150W(no TC) The Coil read 0.1 Ohm on the Segelei and I swear it was acting wonky as hell when firing at 65 Watts. This might sound strange but it felt like I got some type of electrical shock from the box. All of a sudden I feel this rush in my arms! Muscles tighten and my extremities felt all light. Increased heartrate and lightheaded. Im OK though thats the important part but dam I could of screwed up my Segelei 150 or worse hurt myself. It kept saying short! However I assumed since the coil was so big that metal was touching metal because I could barely get the chamber part of the Aromamizer over the base to screw down....

So after that I put the Aromamizer on the XCube 2 and it wont fire in Watt Mode as its reading 0.08... Switch over to TC Mode using the TCR Coefficient .00138. Had to go to the adjust ohms setting on the XCube a few times to get it working but no biggie... Take my first puff and got a nice warm vapor from the Aromamizer, no dry hits to speak of which had plagued me the past few months with the other grades of SS(304 and 316L)...Some good clouds which was awesome! After 2 months Im finally able to use Temperature Control how it was intended! What a nice added Christmas present! :) First thing I noticed immediately was the great flavor, using temps around 180-190 Celsius or 340-355 Fahrenheit. Oddly though Celsius seemed to work better. Believe the 316L and 304 just aren't as good for TC and that was probably a major factor in my struggles these past few months, also the fact I dont know what im doing half the time lol, but thanks to Cigatron and other friends Im slowly learning :)

Heres a couple pics of the build... quite rough, coils arent perfect but its working decently at least. Wicked with Drago Egyptian Cotton.

Has anyone used 32 or 28 gauge builds? I have a few spools laying around from my Kayfun days. Suggestions? I have brain lock

I'm currently running Quad Vertical, 28g, 2.5mm ID, 0.44ohms (Photo's on page 115)

It is a bit of a monster vape, I use it sparingly :)

Currently on dual verticals, 28g, 7 wraps, 2.5mm ID, 0.72ohms. Fantastic at 45W. The flavor condenses on my tongue, almost like sipping the juice.

@Douggro
With Quad Verticals I naturally had one wick over each of the four juice holes, how did you arrange the wicks with dual verticals? (Photo's are always nice :))

Tight wicks through the coils, fanned like crazy to cover both holes on each side:

It leaks a little, but otherwise wicks fine, no dry hits, and this has been in there for three days and at least three tanks of juice so far. Might just need to readjust the wicking on the deck to fix the leaking.

Looks good. I suspect the leaking would stop with a little less wicking.

I've had zero dry hits of the Aromamiser.

I only vape once every hour to two hours, but when I do I hit it about once every 8 seconds for a 3-4 second burst, and repeat constantly for 20 hits.

No dry hits :)

Hey, congrats on your tc build!!! Coil symmetry looks ok and you've got nice cotton shoulders so plenty of wick. Where are you at on temp and power now? I'm guessing 400-420°f and 90-110w. If not, try to get there, the flavor will pop just below the temp point of putting a slightly burny edge to the vape or a post-vape sizzle sound, whichever comes first. It's 22g with lots of wire mass so a short post-vape sizzle may happen, maybe a 1/4 second or so, but if your wicking density and wick tail density and positioning are perfect it should start to go burny first when finding peak temp and power settings.
