I put black electrical tape on a black vape band to cover two holes. Not exactly a good look though.

I cut two pieces down to size and stuck them directly to the tank over the holes. It's unnoticeable. The problem is that I know they are there, so I'll be hoping for a new vape band option.

Yours looks better, but I didn't want tape goo on my atty :). The cheap band though, ok.

This tank looks really interesting, planning on picking one up in the near future. I was thinking that you could possibly just punch 2 more holes in the vape band and just turn it there, but since I don't have one I'm not sure if there's enough space. But that way you could have all airflow options without carrying an extra vape band.

Hey Roxy whats the vape experience like. I keep hearing dripper like which is what I am looking for. My tanks lack in the saturation department obviously because on a dripper we drip right on top of our coils. Not that I get dry hits from them but I just want that little extra bit of moisture to fill my mouth with wet flavor. Im ready to buy today and Im looking at this aromamizer or the UTA from fasttech the newest model they have there. The UTA comes loaded up with all the tanks parts so its a good deal I just want the right choice can you help me?

I was thinking that. I wish they had done it that way. If I make one I will even put different sized holes for better adjustability.

Both wick like crazy and give a moist vape. In fact I went to dual stacked coils on the UTA because I was getting a drop of juice in my mod's 510 it wicks so well, and has huge wick slots.

The Aromamizer has the capability of more airflow than the UTA, and is machined better (well, I don't have the v2 clone yet, just the beta one).

The UTA does come with full and nano kit, and you need to choose one for the Aromamizer. So at this moment, the UTA has more size flexibility.

I can't get any other drip tip to fit my UTA beta clone so on that one, you're stuck with that drip tip, but it is comfortable.

I hope that helps.

I was considering elongating two of the holes using an exacto knife, so you can turn the vape band and close up two of the holes. There has been some talk that Steam Crave will make a two hole vape band available.

That's a great idea and easy enough to do. Might get some whistling if there is a jagged edge, but could try to use the side of the elongated hole that they put in.

Went back to my standard spaced coil build this morning, this time wrapping under the screw heads. Not sure I'd do it this way again. It was kind of a PITA.

7 wraps of 26 ga at 2.4mm. I like the vape better then contact coils, but that's typical for me with any tank.

And although I appreciate the idea of the anti-spit back drip tip, it mutes flavor. Changed the drip to a standard one, and it was like flipping a switch. Big improvement.

This tank can handle some serious wattage. I ran it as high as 70 Watts, still vaping MTL, and it was a nice vape. Wicking kept up just fine. I've settled at 50 Watts on the current build. Obviously, I am probably not the typical MTL "tootle puffer"....

I agree on the drip tip and changed mine as well.

I'm currently running it at 35W, but that's where this juice seemed to shine. I admit it vaped fine at 50W and definitely could have gone higher, no doubt. It will be interesting to try different juices and builds. I have my second deck built with 3mm coils, but haven't tried that build yet. I was thinking of twisting up some 28g today and trying that as well. Or maybe triple twisted 30g.

You guys have any pics of your builds? I too am having issues getting the coils in front of the air holes. I get them up high enough, but the only way I can get them in front of the air holes is to unscrew the tank a little bit. It's unfortunate they didn't think of that issue. That's what a V2 is for I guess lol. I agree with the driptip switch out too. I popped the one from my Goliath v2 on there, and flavor improved quite a bit.

I used 4 little pieces of painters tape to mark my deck where the airholes were to give me an idea of where I had to put the coils since I wasn't sure which two airholes would be the ones, and to see if they should be centered or offset. And put your tank next to your deck at the height it will be if it were screwed on to see what height the coils need to be.

Are mine perfect? Eh, at least close :)

Here is what I'm currently using as noted above.

AromaRDTAbuild.jpg

Not my prettiest, but working very well.

You might try doing what I did last night to help line up the coils. Two of the air holes will line up directly with a coil, with the coil being skewed towards a negative post, but it matters which negative post you build towards. The other two air holes line up fairly close to a negative post.

Screw the base fully onto the tank. Then mark on the bottom of the base with a Sharpie marker where the air holes line up. (The marker comes off easily) Build and position your coils accordingly.

Thanks for taking the time to give a pic! I'll try marking it for sure, that's a great idea.

Yah that helps thanks. I think it says the drip tip is not 510 but the stock one looks ok to me and I prefer delrin or teflon tips. My best tank I have right now is a modded Orchid that I drilled the air holes to 3mm and opened the juice channels about the size of the goblin. Its really good and is just a little better vape than my goblin but that does not compare to my drippers. Im gonna order up the UTA now I think its the best option today anyway.

Thanks again
