Has anyone tried these prebuilt coils yet? They seem pretty interesting!

Thanks. I'll try those out if my builds don't work out. I just got it and am fairly confident I can make something work after reading this thread.

Those are the clones. Which apparently aren't any good. I'd avoid those personally. You can get an authentic for $20 plus shipping at vapenw.com.

Here's a direct link: Aromamizer RDTA by Steam Crave $19.99 (Velocity Style Deck) Original

I think eccigity has them in-stock too, and may still have a holiday coupon code going on, not sure.
Okay, thanks for the heads up! I'll go with vapenw.
Orginally I intended to purchase from eciggity yesterday, but their sale ended Thursday night!

I have no idea what happened tonight. I had 2 Aromamizer. I absolutely hated them. They didn't produce the flavor that my Billow V2 does. So I gave one to a friend. He loves it. He kept going on and on about the flavor. While he was yapping, I kept thinking about the fact that he doesn't have a Billow V2 to compare. I get home tonight and tossed in a fresh build thinking nothing has changed. To my surprise, it was a full on flavor vape. A couple more deep inhales and the weather app on my phone alerted me of a dense fog advisory. I don't know what I did different, but this tank has definitely earned a spot on the front row.

I will admit upfront that I haven't read the entire thread..

Would you recommend this as a good first RTA for the novice builder? As I get deeper into vaping, the idea of building is appealing. I prefer tanks - would never consider a dripper after watching friends fuss with them. I have a Subtank Mini and just did my first build on the RBA and after sorting out my wicking issues, I'm loving it. I've heard the Aromamizer name dropped here on ECF, which is what got me looking at it.

I'm more of a flavor guy and like sticking in the 0.5 to 1.2 ohm range on stock coils, and have never run any of them over 40W. Current mods top out at 60W; looking to expand there in the new year with a 100-150W unit, more for the battery capacity and usage time.

So, what say you? Good first RTA for my intended use? TIA.

My first RTA was the original Lemo, and for my first build I actually made dual coils in it lol. Honestly building is not that difficult, imo. With that said my later RTAs were Goblin, Zeph, Billow v2, and a Lemo 2. All of those are a pain to build on because they have a serious learning curve, except the Lemo 2. So as a novice I had some tough times with wicking on them. I personally wish the Aromamizer was available when I started off because it's the easiest tank to put a build on. 3mm coils are cake, and the wicking is so simple, as long as you remember the golden rule: Fluff the .... out of your tails!
In all seriousness, I would whole heartedly recommend the Aromamizer to you, when you have those higher power mods. But you need to go back in this thread and read up. There ain't 119 pages for nothin'.

I bought an Aromamizer from vapenw yesterday. That $5 shipping fee is always a killer.

I tried to order from them during their Black Friday sale, but their site was crippled, from the flurry of activity, for at least 3 days, so I gave up. However, I know lots of folks got some amazing deals.

It was only AFTER making my puchase yesterday, that I realized I should have waited for a x-mas and/or NY's sale!

I waited and waited for a Christmas sale and at this point I don't think they will have one. I had bought 2 Sig 75Ws on BF, and both were defective. So I had a store credit of $64 to use on something. However, no sale now to make the most of that like I did on BF. So I finally gave up on the idea of a Christmas sale and bought a Reuleaux rx200 and batteries.

Res is close to correct. Should be bout .16 with those 24g 12 wrap dual 2.5mm coils. Looks like you're underwicked to me. The cotton should have shoulders where it comes out of the coil.

Have you checked to see if the coils are firing center out? You can dryburn/dryfire Ti at low wattage. For that build I'd try it at around 15w if your mod has stepdown capability.
15 watts will glow those coils so do quick pulses. Just so they smoke a little. Rinse, scrub repeat.

There is something off with the way the coils are mounted to create such uneven firing. Screw mounts, wire, coil wraps. Could be a lot of things. I would tear it out and rebuild. You are getting 70% of the vape if that.

Yes, absolutely!!

Buy one of the prebuilt coils with your initial purchase. That way you can experience the joy of this atty while you learn.

I now have four of 'em. With the 4th I bought a 0.15 Nickel coil. This is my first non-Nifethal coil since I switched away from pure Nickel.

I am an experience builder, surprised and happy with the quality of the vape. Now running on a VS 200 at 450 F, 64 Watts. Excellent flavor, no question about the amount of vapor.

Go for it!
