Thanks. I'll try those out if my builds don't work out. I just got it and am fairly confident I can make something work after reading this thread.Has anyone tried these prebuilt coils yet? They seem pretty interesting!

Okay, thanks for the heads up! I'll go with vapenw. Those are the clones. Which apparently aren't any good. I'd avoid those personally. You can get an authentic for $20 plus shipping at vapenw.com.
Here's a direct link: Aromamizer RDTA by Steam Crave $19.99 (Velocity Style Deck) Original
I think eccigity has them in-stock too, and may still have a holiday coupon code going on, not sure.

More than a few deal breakers.Blah. I just ordered one from there today. What are the issues?
I will admit upfront that I haven't read the entire thread..
Would you recommend this as a good first RTA for the novice builder? As I get deeper into vaping, the idea of building is appealing. I prefer tanks - would never consider a dripper after watching friends fuss with them. I have a Subtank Mini and just did my first build on the RBA and after sorting out my wicking issues, I'm loving it. I've heard the Aromamizer name dropped here on ECF, which is what got me looking at it.
I'm more of a flavor guy and like sticking in the 0.5 to 1.2 ohm range on stock coils, and have never run any of them over 40W. Current mods top out at 60W; looking to expand there in the new year with a 100-150W unit, more for the battery capacity and usage time.
So, what say you? Good first RTA for my intended use? TIA.
I bought an Aromamizer from vapenw yesterday. That $5 shipping fee is always a killer.
I tried to order from them during their Black Friday sale, but their site was crippled from the flurry of activity, for at least 3 days, I gave up. However, I know lots of folks got some amazing deals.
It was only AFTER making my puchase yesterday, that I realized I should have waited for a x-mas and/or NY's sale!![]()
I didn't mean THEM specifically.
I still can't believe I missed eciggity's sale by a day!![]()
No, it ended Thursday.Does Eciggity still have their sale going?
15 watts will glow those coils so do quick pulses. Just so they smoke a little. Rinse, scrub repeat.Res is close to correct. Should be bout .16 with those 24g 12 wrap dual 2.5mm coils. Looks like you're underwicked to me. The cotton should have shoulders where it comes out of the coil.
Have you checked to see if the coils are firing center out? You can dryburn/dryfire Ti at low wattage. For that build I'd try it at around 15w if your mod has stepdown capability.
Yes, absolutely!!I will admit upfront that I haven't read the entire thread..
