This disaster I have made of my hair~!

This is some SERIOUS hair dye~!

When it says protect your ears and forehead with vasoline.....you REALLY should do it~!

And when it says to keep dye at least 1/4 inch off of scalp...well,

And I washed it out after 10 minutes, not the 30-40 the box called for~! Counting my blessings I opted NOT to use the bleach~!

Good save, seriously! It looked good at the wedding. If you hair is the same shade as the pic color, it looks good with your skin tone.

Oooh, if you want a color that I've tried that looks like the one on the box but doesn't do the scalp thing, try
Nutrisse Haircolor - 66 Pomegranate (True Red). My roommate still uses it.

(I've rocked the shaved head because of a bad hair dye, so I known that moment of freak out that occurs, when stuffz go wrong. The color would not come out after color correcting, bleaching, stripping. Luckily, it was the early 90's and grunge was in :) )

Homeish now
I'm sure it will wash out...the baby oil might be worth a shot.

when I was much younger and still in my teens...I killed my hair.
I tried going strawberry blonde...and it came out auburn. Which was find till my mother went Oh our hair is about the same color! 0_o
So I tried bleaching the color out in "highlights" to lighten it up...end up with pinkish chunks. So I thought...ok lets strip all of it and redye it! 0_o lets just say....I got in trouble at work it was so bad, spent like 130 for a professional to "kinda fix it" and it took Years to grow that stuff out.
So I dont suggest Fixing it. o_0

Well the wedding pic is nice and the rose adds just the right accent.I'm lucky one of my daughters went to cosmetology school so even though she doesn't work as a beautician she can fix the goof ups when they happen,LOL At least the final color is pretty and flattering to you.:)

Shaved head! Yeah, I did all that in the grunge era. Had pink, green, black, blonde hair. I tried to get the Delores O'Riordan 'do with the blonde pixie cut. That sucked growing out. Also used color remover to get black dye out of my hair. That was one of the most painful things ever. I had scabs all over my head and it burned really bad.

I now use L'Oreal Hi-color. It's made specifically for darker hair and it works really well. I do have to go to Sally Beauty Supply to get it, though:
