I'm sorry that you've had this for three months! I think weather changes definitely have an effect. You mentioned that you drink a lot of water. When I had my last sinus infection, I drank over a gallon a day (maybe two). It helped so much. Also, I found that brushing my teeth a lot (every couple of hours) with minty toothpaste helped me to taste my favorite juices.

I have been brushing with crest sensitivity toothpaste. I can't really taste it either.

I just told Kat that I could smell her oba oba a bit, so she gave me her eGo and still can't taste it. Its one of my favs so I am bummed out.

I have a question for you all and yes this is :offtopic: but exactly and really why do I want to invest into a VV pv? I keep fighting with myself on the fact that for what it costs for one VV I could buy four more 900 mah eGo batts

Hey good to see you there, LD! I had this creeping crud at Thanksgiving and now it is back with a vengeance! I am sick of being sick!

That's what made me go to the doc. Heck they even gave me a flu shot toboot. Somethings gotta kick something and it sounds like your in the same boat I am in. Go see the doc and get the wonder meds. :)

I thought that the Purecig was going to do it for my mom. She even commented that if she didn't pay attention she would think that she was smoking a cig. I fill her cartos for her. Charge her Buzz batteries (she is afraid to handle them) and change her batteries to boot. So it is not like it is really any trouble for her except changing cartos when empty. It is more of a mental habit for her after 60 years I think. With emphysema and COPD you would think that she would give them up. We all know how hard it can be though. She still has all of her equipment including filled cartos with Purecig so I am not losing all hope yet!

Edit to add: We all started out with the auto KR808s and she did give it one heck of a try. That was such a nightmare with constantly charging batteries, etc. I wish that we would have started with the Riva or Buzz as it may have turned out different for her. By the time we got our Buzz and Purecig she had already decided it just was not going to work for her.

So I take it that the purecig is possibly spot on for a total tobacco experience? Kat is still trying to find on out the bunch, but has liked everyone she has tried. Especially the pall mall.

Shell I was experimenting last night and pulled out my GGTS...It's been sitting awhile....It's sitting again....It just doesn't compare with the Buzz.......

Shell, I wouldn't hurry to buy anything different than what your using. If the eGo is giving you what you want, and your happy with it, then stick with it. Like you said, you could buy four batteries for what you'd spend on a vv. And you know what ... you'd still just be vaping if you bought the vv.

The guys and gals in the infinity thread really talked me into getting one. I do want more vapor and warmer mist. I can't taste anything so its very important seeing a lot of vapor right now besides getting my nic fix. Lol

Im going to get an infinity kit and extra set of batts. I will be thrilled if its the last and only pv that I will ever need. :)

Oh and in the mean time Kat has said she would gladly take my set of eGos. Why do I have a feeling that she will have all four set up vaping off of them? Lol

Yep! I'm gonna snatch up your eGos and become a bigger obsessive vaping freak than I am now! Lol

Ok guys an update: I got a call from the nurse this morning (I had called because I didn't know how long to use the steroidal nasal spray.) For some reason I misunderstood the doc and thought he meant to get the usual sinus spray bottle to use an hour after my steroid spray. Anyway to shorten this instead of babbling, I was supposed to get the waterpik nasal cleanser. Well after much discussion with the nurse, we went and got it. It costs 30 for kit, and 8 for the eucalyptus/saline packets. I highly recommend that if you all suffer or your kids as much as I do with allergies and sinus problems that this kit is the thing to have. We wont go into what fell out of my head, but I have to say I feel a little better. I am to make it a part of my regimine and have no problems doing so. I can't wait to find out how much better I am going to feel after I get over this sinus infection. :)
oh and that's the prices at Walmart. :)

I've never heard of that product before! So it's already helping? Do you just use it once a day?

You can use it twice a day. And yeah its over where all the sinus sprays are at. I found it on the bottom shelf. I don't know how much its working yet because I still keep having bloody noses and sneezing, but there is drainage. I just know it blew a lot of crap out of my head. The doc said I was socked up and he wasn't kidding. Ill let you know how things are going with it in a couple of days. I can't remember the last time I was able to clearly breathe through my nose so I will be thrilled if this gets me there. :)

I hope that it works well. I have terrible allergies and when I get a sinus infection, it's always extreme. Do let us know how effective it is!

I hope your getting better Shell, living with constant sinus problems is a hassle. You have the added bonus of being in an area where it's dry during the winter correct? That can't help the problem much. I'm lucky or unlucky enough, depending on the perspective, to live on the coast so the humidity is generally 90%+. I can't imaging living where it's lower all the time. I went to Canada last week and the dryness really got to me in just a couple of days, skin cracking, sinuses all dry, blech.

I decided to start vaping a couple of days before I went to the doc for a huge sinus infection. They put me on a 10 day 1gram 3xday cycle of omoxycillan with an option to refill it. I was so plugged up that drainage just wasn't happening. I wish I'd heard of this sinus waterpick thing then. Of course the nearest walmart to me is 90 miles away so I'll take a look at the CVS to see if they carry them.

Yep its dry up here and we have to put lotion on everyday and drink plenty of water. I am hoping that in a couple of days that I really get some relief. Right now I am sitting here eating spicey chili my partner made. Its hitting the spot.
I currently am taking azythromyacin for a total of five days, and sprayiing fluticasone propionate up my nose, and now to add the wterpik nose cleaner two times a day. Lol

I bet they do carry it. I just know I was feeling some relief when I did it, but feeling a bit rough right now. Its been a couple of hours since I did it and sinus infections don't life to leave easily.

I use Mucinex anytime that I have chest or head congestion. It is OTC and you can take it twice a day. You must drink lots of water with it but it knocks it out fast. As a matter of fact if you go to the doc what they give you is prescription strength of Mucinex. I swear by it.

BTW- If you want Mucinex D which is more for nasal and head congestion you have to ask the pharamacist for it. They keep it behind the counter and you have to show ID for it.

Hey all you sickies out there, I was once a chronic sinus sufferer with constant infections and my doc gave me a sample NeilMed sinus rinse kit. I read the directions and immediately threw it away. I couldn't get over the idea of shooting water up 1 nostril and out the other but the next time I felt sinus probs coming on I was desperate enough to try it and it takes a few tries to get used to it but within 3 days all symptoms were almost gone. I was so impressed I use it every morning and night when I feel the slightest problem coming on. It is kind of yucky at first but you get the hang of it soon enough and will be amazed what it will do for you. It's only about 11.00 bucks at most places in the sinus medicine department. Hope you give it a try and it works for you, too.

I don't know if that's the one with the little kettle? There were two of them and I went with the one the nurse told me about. I hope that I get to where you are at because I am so sick of the crap in my nose, and my ears ringing. I did wake up this morning and could breathe through my nose, which is a first. :)

My wife is a neuro-pathologist, and she too believes very much in e-cigs. She was never a smoker but she knows how hard it was for me to quit until I found these, and she knows how much I love FSUSA and that they were a big part of me being able to finally quit for good (Haven't had an analog since August and haven't even wanted one).

She looked in to the ingredients of e-juice and is totally convinced that e-cigs are safe- and trust me, this woman knows her stuff- she can spout off molecular and cellular binding mechanisms like most people can spout off their ABC's. When she asked me what was in them and I told her, she was drawing out the entire chemical structure of PG before I had even finished my sentence.

Long story short, she checked out my e-juice in its entirety, using what she knew and combining that with things she found in various medical journals and other resources- she's been sending smokers to ECF and FSUSA ever since.
