Whoa! This thread seems to have died. :(

I just made a trade for the Diver V2. The one that has the funny name that starts with an "E". I set it up and got it working on the first try. :toast: I've only been using it for a couple of hours but so far no flooding or dry hits. YAY! This was a hell of a lot easier to assemble than the V1. I'm curious though about the pics with 2 orings on the pin. Mine has one. Why are there 2 in that pic above?

Also, all my premade wires are nr-r-nr so I cut off one end of the nr wire. Is this necessary? I figured that it wouldn't work with nr wire in the ceramic cup post hole where the pin goes in. Am I correct about that?

The two O rings comes stock when you buy it. If one is missing its maybe because he lost it.
You shouldn't have to cut the NR wire. The idea is that the R wire makes the warps around the wick and the two NR go down the ceramic cup to make to positive and negative contact.

I don't seem to need that second oring so it's no big deal but thanks for the info. I guess I don't need it.

Cool about the NR wire. That will give me more to work with. I ended up the the correct ohms without that NR wire but I'd rather leave it there. :)

@konstantinos when do we get a gold edition base for the diver v2 ;) I need a 6th one I don't like odd numbers :)

I don't believe there is a gold base, only the top tube. I have a full gold Scuba Diver + gold Twins and Hippo, the only piece that is SS is the base - which is conveniently hidden by a gold Scuba lower ring.

Should work with one o-ring, but you know whom to PM if you want more... I don't have the blue ones, though, so you will be stuck in Uncool Cat Territory with me if you get my pedestrian black o-rings.

The NR leads on any ready wire will definitely be too long, and they will need to be trimmed down. The ready wires I have probably lose about 80% of their length when trimmed down. Are the NR leads too wide gauge to go through the holes? I have a LOT of ready wires I will never use, I can send you a pack so you can compare, if you tell me which resistance you prefer.
