Its a good day today. Complete tear down and clean with a nice .7 coil (26g). Rips along at 4.30 volts perfectly.

A couple of questions from a Diver 2 / Billet Box newbie- Both are on their way for delivery this week.
1. I am an experienced rebuilder, so went w/ the Diver- What gauge wire is recommended? I'm assuming a thinner gauge such as 30 or 32? Currently the thinnest I have is 30. Will that work well in the small space?
2. Does cotton work better then silica for the highest vapor production?
3. What seems to be the best compromise resistance wise for battery life and vapor? Guessing about 1.8 ohms?
4. Best diameter for coil?

1. We suggest res wire 33-34 and non res wire 32, wick double 2.0mm. You can also use 30 gauge without a problem
2. Generally yes in my opinion
3. Better go for 1.4ohms. Remember that Diver doesnt need high voltage to perform.
4. Use a 1.5mm drill/30 gauge wire (the one that you already have)/7 wraps (remember always use non res wire)

I made the setup with the 2mm silica wick, there is no noticeable difference with vaping between a 2.3mm wick, it works perfectly as well, the holes of the cup were all to the top closed with the 2.3mm silica wick but it seems to be not any problem this is not happening with the 2mm wick.
To screw the tube on the base was going much easier with the 2mm wick, with the 2.3mm wick I had to press the wick with my nail all the time before I could screw the tube to the base and bc of this, yes the 2mm wick is absolutely better.

ok, thanks mate. diver v1 is my daily vape still...so i can definitely wait.
Can someone tell me the difference between the straight tube Diver 2 and the hourglass shaped V2? I just received mine from Avid and requested the version for the Billet Box, and they sent the one that looks like a slotted carto. On the Atmistique video, they are using the hourglass shaped one with the BB.
Am I ok with the one I received?

Both of them are 35MM height so you can use them without a problem in your BB
