Just like everyone here, I had really high hopes for the Diver v2 plus Billet Box combo but have experienced the dreaded leaking issues. I did however finally find a setup that seems to be working pretty well. Two tanks and no leaks experienced. Here is what I did, swapped out the centre pin to the v1 pin. I love cotton but since I was experiencing flooding, instead of using a 3/32 drill bit (which I normally use for micro coils), I used a 5/64 drill bit to wrap the coil. I didn't wrap a micro but kept the coil pretty tightly spaced. The bigger diameter allowed me to get more cotton through which seems to have stopped the flooding issue. The one challenge with this is that when you get the top portion of the Diver threaded on to the base, you have to make sure you cut the excess cotton tightly along the body of the Diver because if it sticks out of the channels, it's pretty tough to get the Diver into the Billet Box tank.

Anyhow just thought I'd share my 2 cents and maybe this helps move us along finding a perfect solution.

+1 on the 5/64 and on more cotton than you think. Hence, my modified ceramic. I further agree on the cotton in the juice slots. It should show in the window and be cut even with where the base touches. Put a extra drop of juice, and tuck in just to be sure.

As I am getting familiar with the diver, I have question....when you use the premade cups/coils, does it matter when you cut the loop..to cut the top wick or the bottom wick to the cup?? All I have in comparison is the Sophia and their videos show cutting the top strand but a video on the Diver v2 says to cut the bottom out....any difference for either? I was going to set up the diver tonite but I've decided to wait til my order arrives with the Scuba tank!! Well, I may not be able to wait and just place in another tank til the scuba arrives....I really want to try it!!

I haven't used the stock wick & coil on anything, but I guess it doesn't matter which one you trim-off. However, most cut-off the top wick and let the bottom ones go down the channel.

Nickel and/or Silver, AFAIK.
Thank you qorax. Just ordered some.

How funny how only 2 cents is worth a darn site more to those who require that knowledge. Thanks Doghouse, I suppose that passed on knowledge will be allowed to let you leave. (The Dog House) :)

doghouse, I'll +1 the 5/64th microcoil as well. I leave the coil sitting so that about half of ti is sitting above the cup, not installed all the way inside the cup, so i can get enough cotton in for the coil's diameter, and enough cotton to completely cover the external slots. Akdare has opened the slots int he cup with a Dremel so she can have the coil sit in the cup and install the same amount of cotton without having the cup slots choke it. Either way should work.

So far, I've PMed everyone who had issues, and except for Akdare, pretty much every other person who had v2 Diver issues in the BB has reported back that it works fine with these guidelines and the v1 pin.

I suspect Akdare may have a bad Diver v2 and/or BB tank. Help me convince her to swap Divers and BB tank with me!

Which o-rings? From where? For the Diver v1?

If you need the 6x1 o-rings for the Diver v1, PM me your address, and I can send you a few.

Awesome Kat at his best!

Konstantinos did you guys ever test out in pre-production longer cut-outs in the ceramic cup so that the wick and coil were in line with the cut-out of the atty slot. So it would be similar to a wick situation as the Taifun GT type setup? I love my Taifun and have never had any problems with the wicking and or flooding since I moved to micro coils and cotton.

Would you guys ever release a ceramic cup with longer cut-outs for or special design to features to enhance a micro coil and cotton wick setup? Until the day a possible something comes along. Would it hurt if I dremeled the ceramic slots further down the ceramic cup? Can you see any down side to this?

Thanks again for the videos.

Opdee :)
