Still hanging in there with them. I have the earliest known order number through them directly @ #155. If I'm not mistaken the others that got theirs from Illvapes were from their Ebay sales. If I don't get my $40 in store credit I'm not going to sweat it. If I don't get the clone then I'll take it up with my bank. I have until July 10th to dispute it with VISA.

yea, that's what I'm gonna do. even tho my order is around 2100 silver. I have a feeling that there wont be many left after the next few days and I should get bumped up in line.

Dang....been away this afternoon and missed saying HI to Classy.....

On to my post now....... noticed several posts talking about charging the Clone battery "overnight".....

Just wanting to say that one of the first rules about battery safety is "not leaving any charging battery unattended"..... they can catch fire....

+1

I am quite new to the whole vape scene (but loving every min of it). But, i have been using/ charging/ building lipo batteries for years and this hold true for every lipo battery/ battery charger. I use tons of lipos in my RC helicopters (6s 5300 mAh, 22.2v and up, running at 100+ amps) and you NEVER leave them unattended, even when you have it connected to an intelligent $200-$400+ charger, because those suckers can burn down your house in no time!!!

just check youtube for Lipo Fires.....damn scary stuff!!

Always monitor your lipos while charging. I charge/store all of my RC batts in a fire proof 50cal ammo box.

ok....now back to the waiting... :)

Except that none of the batteries in this MOD are LiPos.

even though they say there is no room for sympathy in business and although ive personally been negatively affected by illvapes, i cant help but feel bad for them after that email. "just because you can do something doesn't mean you should", words ive lived by my entire life and has made me a slightly less obnoxious person because of it, hana modz should have embraced this saying, instead they have successfully succeeded in destroying a small vape shop and online vendor. sueing them and doing it so publicly was a double edge sword that hana modz may have not realized and may sill not have, the vape community is huge but a tightly woven one... what sets us apart from other vice industries is that we help one another grow and learn for the better of the vape scene, we dont sue each other and destroy small businesses without first considering the alternatives, because lets be honest.. there were A LOT of alternatives. what hana modz did was emotional and was wrong... everyone see's this. a company like hana modz can come and go and no one will miss it, but its when you start shutting down the vendors and B&M's is when your truly affecting the scene.

on another note:
most of us started vaping out of necessity, a way to quit this disgusting habit that has loomed over our heads for the better part of our lives. but then it slowly became more apart of us and turned into a lifestyle, a habit we wanted to accept. i read all these comments on this thread sometimes getting out of hand, im not mad at it and im not afraid of it... all i see is passion for something that makes you happy. now can anyone ever remember being this passionate about cigarettes? it doesn't happen...

True for this mod. But there's also been talk in this thread about the mini which does use LiPo batteries. And also FastTech versions some of which also have such batteries.

I understand what you are saying....and yes, the vaping community does help each other..... Hana is only protecting their property according to our laws. Not saying I agree or disagree with their method, but consider this:

A vendor, as of today, is still advertising a "logo" clone as an exact copy of the Hana.... I know for a fact a "vape buddy" sent them an e-mail about this whole issue a week ago. He was doing a favor by caring enough to communicate the issue to the vendor in a pro-active mode.... Vendor still continues to advertise and take pre-orders and didn't even respond back to the "caring vaper" who took the time to try to warn the vendor......

Now it has come to light that vendors are now selling the "logo" clones undercover......I'll call it what it is "the black market"......Vendors should not place the vaping community in a position to have to defend vendors using "black market tactics" to make a buck.....That also is not good publicity for e-cigarettes and vaping...

Just saying there are "two sides to every coin".... and like you said " a two-edged sword"

Been extremely patient and supportive of elev8, but 2 emails about my order 393 for Blue and still no response? I wouldn't be pushing the issue if this wasn't sent to me:
Well, you are at the front of the line for colored. So once the shipment comes in, you will be in it!

Some guy said 35x for blue just shipped so it should be soon for you.
