I do agree running subohms at 30 watts is pushing the limit. It's not my thing. I am running 1.3 ohm kayfuns at 15 watts and works for my needs.

Retird, tell me one piece of electrical/ electronic equipment, combining double digit wattage, high current, AND liquids with litihium ion power sources- held directly to one's face and into one's mouth- with (some) folks constantly pushing the limits through sub-ohming- that can NOT be considered "POTENTIALLY Dangerous".

You still have NOT made any specific case regarding THIS device in particular.
Never tried to make a specific case for this device...I think a previous post ( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...lone-lets-wait-together-591.html#post13397038 ) pretty well summed up what most people know about vaping battery operated devices (true pass-throughs excluded)...never said potentially dangerous....I also ask a question earlier that got no answer.... maybe you can answer...

Can you show me a battery powered vaping device that is without a doubt safe?

Sounds like you found your "happy place"..... mine is 3.0 carto tank set a 8.4 watts.... I never needed 20 or 30 watts and the only reason I upgraded was to get the additional safety features and "creature comforts" that became available...

Edit: wow...past my bedtime.....lights out....

You are asking me the same question I asked *you* regarding ANY device that can be considered completely "safe". See my last post. Regarding the possibility of THIS device (clone) being potentially dangerous, you made the statement below. Then you stated you were going to stop posting after making that ambiguous statement. First off, let me say I'm glad you are back, you are a veteran and a fine contributor. But secondly, inadvertently, I think these statements confused (and possibly scared) some folks- kind of a "hit and run".

"My final opinion is that the clone enclosure, battery holder, and buttons are good. The rest of the internals and 510 connector are not ready for prime time and may be dangerous."

"My Conclusion Post was intended to be my last post here so I only give you this one in an effort to inform and provide additional information, most of which is already spread throughout this thread."

I can't see paying $20 more for what I paid for it...I sent an email to elev8vape asking him what he thinks the wait time would be. We'll see what the answer is...big difference between $68 & $89 especially when I'm buying a 2nd as a backup. I lost my itaste vv & just dropped my MVP 2 in the damn sink the other day so all I have is my dna right now. I was gonna buy another mvp but why when I can buy another dna?

Wetvapes has them available shipping on the 16th for 79..I believe there is a coupon code available, but I forgot what it is. Saw it either on this thread or in ecr on reddit. I ordered on Saturday and got it Wednesday.

I've been vaping my clone for 2 weeks now and I really like it. I use it at work with a kfl+ running at .6-.7 ohms and 30 watts. It hits like a freshly charged battery on one of my mechs....every time. This is exactly what I got it for and it performs great.

I would recommend this mod to anyone who's interested in trying a DNA type mod.

I've also done the math on coil resistance, voltage, and wattage according to the device and the numbers don't quite add up. Sooner or later I'd like to hook it up to a volt meter (its all I have on hand) and validate the output. Regardless of what I find, the vape is quite enjoyable using the aforementioned setup.

Happy vaping y'all, hope everyone gets their mod quick.

Caution: This is a Very Dangerous Clone!!!

First let me say the wait it took to get to this point is hard on your Health and your sanity. Then there are many color choices so you'll find your self wanting a Green one and then a Red one but Silver is cool and Black goes with everything and dang it BLUE is way nice - Getting the picture yet? Buying color after color,,, THEN the wife finds out and ask what you need so many for! While you explain how cool the colors are - she chucks one at you and hits you in the face "OUCH" That's Dangerous and now your fighting like cats and dogs so you need to get out of the house and have a good vape...

Now your driving around town looking at Hotel rooms in places you never knew were there after living in this town for 25 years! Once you get checked in you start thinking if the maid vapes??? Just in case you carry around all the colors cause your not letting even one get snatched, I mean what if it was the cool Blue one? or that Red you waited so long for or the orange you paid $100 bucks becuase wetvapes had one left "in-stock". Well if your lucky you found a room near a vape shop cause you for got enough juice to hold you out and now you got to take all the colors to work and your Boss might fire you for carrying around those Device cause you sure in heck will not put them in a un-safe place around work and you know joes lunch was taken yesterday!!!

Well you get the point so remember these Devices come with some Danger....

Vape on Brothers and sisters - Vape on.

Ace hardware is also a good source... I read the complaints about the screws and was going to grab some new ones but my screws seem just fine

If you got yours from elev8, I believe they changed to better screws out of their own pockets. That's what I read somewhere in this thread, i think.

I've become some kind of B-grade celebrity in the local vaping community because of my EPM. I've had various people who I've never met come and ask (while at local vaping events) "Are you the guy with the Aussie MOD? Can I hold it?" as if I were somehow holding on to some kind of religious relic or something. I've even had a guy offer to buy it from me for a handsome sum far exceeding the cost of a new one (though I declined because I don't want to be without mine for however long it would take to get another from Oz).

They are amazed that I have 1 of but 5 in the US. Amazed at how well it vapes, and jaws routinely drop at the aesthetics.

It might as well be a gift from *insert your deity of choice here*.

This is one of those MODs that I will NEVER sell unless I were to get a v3 and find the v2 somehow redundant (though it's more likely that I would simply celebrate for having a second EPM).

One of "The Five" is currently back on Oz, getting a once-over from the real "EPM". It will return and go public, in time. I've asked that it be returned to its original perfection, before deciding exactly how it might make its way out into someone else's hands. It's a v1, but there are vapers out there who are perfectly satisfied with lower power. So, we shall see.

"How well it vapes", doesn't even quite do it justice now, does it? ;-)

For those like me that didn't know what an EPM mod is.

Hope I got it right.

Yeah, you did! :thumb:

She does. She does. You see the lite. ;) NevAH!

Nevah? Mmm-hmm. NEVAH!!!

on the other hand if, I purchased a $250+ mod and discovered that the post was crooked, there were milling marks, or the buttons and connectors were hot glued in, and that "the made in america" mod had an imported chip in it.....I'd come unglued (pun intended)!!!!! :2c: :vapor:
peace

I paid $225, jeez, quite some time ago (14-15 months?), and it had milling marks (which were known to come with it, at the time). All else has worked flawlessly for its entire life (to date), and I've not a complaint in the world (knocking-on-head). Hitting on it right now, as a matter of fact.

Mine is wrapped, all around, in a gun-metal VaporSkinz. I think the milling marks are still there, but I can't be certain.

Oh yeah, my son got one at the exact same time (and same price). His is without fail too. He alternates between it, a Provari, and a BuzzPro. He's been vaping over two years and owns just those three mods. Some "vaper" HE is... ;-)

I can't speak to the clones, but the early versions of the original device are holding up quite nicely. At least for two of us.

lol, I was referring to the authentic HANA, but I can see how it could be read the other way. I don't own either one right now as mine is awaiting fulfillment...
LOL at the "pun intended"......that's actually happened already....I mean clone sold as authentic on Ebay....

tons of people cancelled or switched to black
I'll apparently have to wait for a LOOOOOOONG time for my Blue from Elev8. The spreadsheet notes they are in the 500s for Blue, and I'm order # 2833.

I'm not terribly worried, however, because I already have my Green and a Silver in hand.

Morning coffee and a vape.....short night cause I lost track of time last night and turned in late....

You are asking me the same question I asked *you* regarding ANY device that can be considered completely "safe". See my last post. Regarding the possibility of THIS device (clone) being potentially dangerous, you made the statement below. Then you stated you were going to stop posting after making that ambiguous statement.

Yep, you may be right that some may have been confused and/or even possibly scared...... and yes my opinion was/is that the internals are not ready for prime time and yes my opinion was/is that this device may be dangerous (I've not bought a single device nor built one that does not cause me to not respect the fact that things can happend).

On another note... It is interesting how vapers will (I guess) just naturally be inclined to defend to the end the device they use. You can see it throughout ECF..... Provari, Darwin, Reo, and etc. So, I understand the passion shown here for the Clone. I think when passion meets a list of issues, problems, quirks, or whatever you call them (compiled from post here, elsewhere, blogs, and etc.), then emotions tend to take over. I think this can/does lead to passionate debate.

What is also interesting is to read posts in other threads where somebody is trying to decide whether to buy an authentic or a clone. Many cons (quirks) were given for the authentic and only one for the clone (the double click) and the prospective buyer was told to buy the clone even tho the poster was aware of a list of quirks. Kinda misleading I think...

Sheeeesh look at all the noise I have missed out on because I have been happily vaping my clone.

So Retird if your clone sucks so bad can I have it?

I am a terrible person and I only deserve terrible things

If you truely needed a device and could not afford to buy one... yes I'd give it to you...but the internals would be replaced first.
