Could you have moved around the internals with the VERY firm press?

It's possible, but I doubt it. It was working fine until I unscrewed the nautilus. Something went wrong right there. I see you're in Jersey! Wayne checking in. Just sucks because I (and we) have been looking forward to this device for so long. Total bummer.
 
The ohm readings are correct according to my black box ohm meter and my multimeter, .8 - 1.8 depending in what tank I am using. The issue is the voltage being delivered. On the vaporshark my .8 build is being hit with 5.2 volts. on the clone it's says 5.2 but it feels more like 4.2 - 4.6.
There were reports that the preproduction models were misreading the resistance, being off by 0.1 or even 0.2. If the reading is too high, even by just 0.1, on a sub-ohm build close to 0.4 or 0.5 that means a huge difference in power that gets delivered. Could that be the entirety of the problem?

Sounds more like a chip failure than user-error...

Nope, no logo model here.
Said it before and I will say it again, I would pay more for a none logo if I had to, because I think the logo looks fugly. Even if I had an original I would prefer it sans logo.

Ya logo or not I don't care. I ordered in the middle of April with a estimated ship date of may 7 off eBay from a Chinese seller for $70. I had the choice of logo or not and after reading illvapes listing that the logo versions where so much better and worth about $40 more I went for the logo at no extra cost.
So if it wasn't for illvapes trying to pull a fast one on unexpecting eBay buyers I would probably have a no logo myself.

Unscrewed my Nautilus (filled with menthol), and put my Aerotank Mega on it. Clicked the fire button to make sure the ohms were right...thats when the screen went black and all that was showing was the battery icon. About 30 seconds after that it just started blinking with "CHECK ATOMIZER" and it kept doing that for a couple of minutes until I unscrewed the back panel and took out the battery. After I put the battery back in the full screen popped up with watts, battery, ohms etc. Then I tried to screw on every tank system I have and everything keeps reading "CHECK ATOMIZER". I just gave up after a half an hour of fiddling with it.

Just some info. Bought from Wet-Vapes. Color is silver. Battery was a VTC5. Last known ohm reading was 1.6 (nautilus coil). Wattage was set to 10.7

I always say this , but I think there is some sort of ground screw right behind the top sticker inside. It might be loose. I am just grabbing at straws, but take out that screw and clean it if it has glue or something. Re install.. Thats the only thing I can think of.

I thought we're not supposed to fudge around with those tamper proof stickers? Doesn't it "void" the warranty (i know it's not an authentic but still).

Illvapes still owes me 71 bucks! They told me to give them my order number after I inquired about said order. The email stated they are not shipping and are refunding orders. I didn't even request the refund. I promptly gave the order number and they responded with 2 emails saying my order was refunded. That was May 21st.

What wattage is it set to? 30w on a .8 build should see the device output around 4.8v give or take a bit.
.9 would be somewhere in the range of 5.2 however. Maybe the Cana IS reading incorrectly

Did you contact the seller? will they come good for a replacement?
Failures are not uncommon I had a few with Authentic DNA chips Fail It's what kinda of service after the fact thats important
Keep us updated on what happens

Well, after just 6 days...my cana mod is finished.

Won't read ANY atomizer at all. Nothing. First all that popped up on the screen was the battery gauge. Then after about 20 minutes of that, it went all haywire and started blinking with check atomizer. And now it's done. An effing paperweight. Realllllllly ...... right now.

I've cancelled my authentic Hana V3 order in favor of a Vapor Shark DNA30 after watching reviews by A Bloody Good Vaping and Big Tom. Now which will arrive first, my illvapes no logo green, or the Vapor Shark?

I can tell you from experience that you will be very happy with the Vapor Shark I have both and the VP is spot on, ohms read perfectly it fires like a champ and is so small you can carry it in your pocket, I am not a chain vaper and don't subohm much and I get a full day of gaping even though it is 1200 Mah Lipo.

The reason I called you is because it might've been easier to explain over the phone. I called our merchant company today and they closed our account because of the chargebacks that happened. Because of this, some refunds have not gone through and we can no longer issue a refund through our end (for any purchases made between April 16th - May 20th). At this point, the only way to get a refund is to do a chargeback. A chargeback costs $25 on our end and we do not have enough in the account to cover a high number of chargebacks. Unfortunately, we do not have any orange box mods in, but we do have black, green and silver. If you would like any of those colors, I can have it packaged and shipped out today. If you would prefer the refund, I have no choice but to recommend you to do a chargeback, however, this would ultimately end our business. I understand this is a tough decision and will hold nothing against you whatever you choose. If you do choose to do a chargeback, please let me know so we have an idea of how many chargebacks we have against us.

now with that said, i took the higher road and decided to let them send me my mod instead of doing a chargeback. i will not have a hand in burying a small business no matter how frustrated ive been this entire pre order. i implore you to restrain from doing a chargeback and let them send you your product or take store credit, after a few emails i can see that their actually good guys that unfortunately got the short end of the stick, so please have mercy when making your decision. but i do recommend you email them if your waiting for a refund to find out your options. on a side note, during the emails i was surprised to find out that they have not received any orange box mods yet... assuming they were still receiving shipments like everyone else it caught me off guard. i asked for an orange to be sent, but he told me that they were going to talk to cloupor tonight and get back to me tomorrow if cloupor have them in stock or not, im not expecting anything less then "yes they have them in stock" since they haven't even received any yet and other vendors have already been sending them out to customers. he said shipment from china should get to them in 4-5 days if it were in stock.... there good guys, some really dumb mistakes but over all good guys who are just trying to do the right thing. i say we give them a chance to do it

Good luck truskme, I hope you actually get one, not sure where they're getting the money to order more though. :vapor:

i assumed all the initial orders were paid for up front or with the money received from customers and all the refunds are coming out of there own pockets which is why there trying to get people not to do chargebacks... with an order as big as theirs, at least half the money had to be put down if not all of it up front. im not to worried because i know ill get a mod either way, im just holding out for an orange but like he said he can send me a black, silver or green today if i wanted it. i chose green if an orange is not on the table :)

22.5 and up, .8 ohms and below it's accurate, it's when I get above 1 ohm. My current build of 1.4 should be getting 5.6 volts give or take .1 or so, it's only getting 4.6. I'm just doing basic testing via side by side comparisons, multimeters and how they feel and right now the clone feels weaker than the authentic dna30. As soon as my new scope and other equipment cone in I'm going to be doing an in depth pbusardo style review, the best I can. I really want to see the actual numbers in this

Well that is all BS Because I did the same thing . I offered in good faith to ask for a mod instead of doing a CB. The response was "your order was already refunded"

If you guys want to keep letting them feed you this crap, I would say you are WASTING YOUR TIME!
