Misplaced cotton on the deck of any mod may cause seepage thru/into the air intake.
Yeah, but I'm pretty careful about that. Very careful, actually. Probably inordinately careful, truth be told.

My guess is it's mostly from the coil sputtering after I've released the firing button. I've never been very careful about continuing to draw after I've released the button. I think it's a little worse with contact coils - which makes sense to me.

Just to be clear, the amount of leakage I'm usually getting is IMO manageable. Takes only a couple of minutes every so often to clear it out and it's not like it's a terrible mess. I've had it leak onto my mod only once, but that was when I first discovered the issue, I had been using the unit for quite awhile and some user error during a fill was probably involved.

Thanking @TrollDragon for the marvelous recommendation of slicing a notch into the deck. Wires trap each and every time for me now.
You are most welcome good sir!
It is something so simple and all the manufacturers should do it at the factory.

Was not meant to be trolling... but just as a warning, as it became a trend that manufacturers asked "OEM producers" for a quote with faked construction plans. These plans were then used to produce "clones".

And this "KM3 OEM manufacturer" does not really care about details: 2016 Aliababa Newest Kayfun V3 Mini Atomizer Colors Kayfun V4 Bottom Feeder Atomizer - Buy Kayfun V3 Mini,Kayfun V4 Product on Alibaba.com
(or he already is innovative and builds a K4 Light)
Being fairly new to vaping (3 months) I have found the clones to be far inferior the the OEMs so far. But like I stated I am a noob and the fact the clones are usually 1/2 price makes it extremely difficult to pass up. PEACE

The clones of these Kayfuns are made pretty much exactly the same and for a lot less than 1/2 price. The authentic Kayfun Mini V3 is $100. The clones are averaging $15... I also have the Plus ones and they are just as good with a 3.5ml capacity. I Love these tanks.

Have you tried one of these yet?

FWIW... O-ring sizes :)

IMHO: Different material/hardness may/will fuction differently for you.
*Use this at your own risk..not responsible for errors..*

These are the ones that work for me with good results.

I ordered Silicone 70 and Buna-N 70 from theoringstore.
**They use the CS x ID .. only when ordering, so don't use the OD .. other sites may differ ..

(clone) Kayfun Mini v3/Plus o-rings:

CS / ID = OD / Fits
1.5mm / 5.mm = 8.mm / inside topcap for chimney

1.5mm / 6.mm = 9.mm / driptip or w/e fits your DT

1.5mm / 7.mm = 10.mm / Bottom AFC/510 shaft

1.mm / 7.mm = 9.mm / Top ring on deck

1.mm / 9.mm = 11.mm / bottom ring on deck *JFC (below threads) and exterior topcap

**on Back-order, may find these should be a softer type like N-50..IDK yet.

1.5mm / 15.mm = 18.mm / Mini tank

1.5mm / 19.mm = 22.mm / Plus tank

^^^ Yeah- we pretty much covered this earlier in the thread. Some of the kits, including mine, have a thinner ring that works fine. I have two more of these 4278000 ordered. I hope they don't have the block problems some have had recently. The one I've had for a couple weeks is fine (with the thinner ring installed). I do get a tiny amount of seepage from the bottom- next time I re-coil, I'll try to tighten things up down there. I also ordered a few of these accessories packs for extra rings, etc.

As did I........

That broken o-ring in your pic appears to be the fat one they're putting on the base by mistake. Mine came with it already broken. There may be a thinner one in your kit that will fit. If you try to use the fat one your JFC will not work properly and you'll have vacuum issues and leaks.

Yes, mine as well (broken o-ring upon delivery).

I hate to say it, cuz I know how you feel, but we grabbed about 20 of the five dollar v2 Pluses and haven't had a single problem. Been putting them to WORK for six hard months so far.
