I received mine from fasttech yesterday and one of the screws wouldn't go all the way down. I kept screwing it in & out and the screw broke off in the base! I just ordered another base & hopefully the screw holes will be better....

Looking at it closer the top fill looks different from fasttech's 1.5. There are no reviews for it...

Nothing to do with the o-rings, it is machined wrong and will not close off the juice flow all the way. There are a few reported like this so hopefully yours works fine and the one I have was machined by an idiot who no longer works the CnC machines.

Thanks but I have been through it completely, the juice channels are machined to high. When the chimney comes up against the stop in the base, there is still .05mm to go for it to seal off the holes. I have been totally through this thing inside and out.
Could be one of many things. Bad oring, too much restriction of air and pulling in too much liquid, condensation, wick problem, etc.
Could also be a defective tank.

The only time I got a lot of gurgling was when I had my coil - a touching coil in that instance - too close to the deck air hole. I've had no problem since I raised the coil a little - and switched to spaced coils.
I use the wire screws as a guide. If I can see a small space between the bottom of the coil and the top of the screws while looking at the coil from the side, it's just right. In other words, the bottom of my coil is just a smidgen higher than the top of the screws.

Have this one, a kf 3 mini and a merlin on the way...so that should keep me busy for quite a while.
I havent broken a glass tube yet so hopefully i'll be able to make mine last.
You'll like it for sure. One tip I have with any size v3m clone is if it misbehaves and floods a little when refilling and you've checked all o-rings and such is to do a KFL top fill. Meaning just snug the top cap, turn upside down, and finish tightening. I cured an unruly 19mm mini by doing that. I'll take a small vape before opening the jfc to test and make sure it didn't flood.
O yea learnt the invert trick a while back when my toptank was acting up. Cleared all leaks....isnt science wonderful?
