Ricks, I use Japanese cotton in mine and I do a tight/snug wick in a 3mm ID coil. I am running at 0.94 ohm and about 15-16 watts. Nice warm vape. I do trim some of the wick side edges after cutting the length to just hit the bottom of the deck when it is in place. Wicking a 3mm coil is a fair amount of cotton, but I want it tight in the coil to reduce popping...BUT I don't want so much cotton on the tails to block airflow in that little chamber so I trim the edges a bit.
I was a die-hard Ekowool user for years using kayfun tanks until I got my Gems and tried cotton. I tried cotton with the older Kayfuns but always went back to the Ekowool.

I continued with the cotton in my KM3's and I think I need more cotton in mine. I will try it now, thanks DP2Raja

I've tried a number of builds, so far my favorite is 3mm 26g SS @ around .7 ohms.

As for which one is better no idea, but the 316SS I've got from Fasttech is pretty much perfect, can't see how it could get better, smooth threads, nice and tight, no problems at all.

As for Tobeco, I've purchased about 20 different Tobeco products over the last months. I've not been let down at all. I expect the KFM3 from them will be good, not willing to spend the $25 I've seen it for, waiting for a more reasonably priced seller. I expect it will be good, but again, I can't really see what could be improved upon with the FT 316L version.

That's how I feel about the 316 SS I got from FT...it just can't get any better when it is already darn near perfect. Some people have mentioned cheep o-rings, I have not seen that as an issue with mine. It just works flawlessly.

Just got my clone from overseas with a broken glass. Now the darn waiting game for the replacement glass to be stocked and shipped out. Where can I purchase a replacement glass here in the states?
I ordered the 5 pack from FT last week. Hope they are all intact. Should be here today or tomorrow. You want one? I'm from PA also. Just on the other end. Would get to you in 2-3 days most likely. I'll let you know how they are if you want. It would drive me crazy if that happened to mine.

That is the brotherhood of vapers in action!

Avoid the original/clone mindset and we'll all be better for it.

Very true Vaping T! of course it should all be about vaping...no matter what equipment you are using.

Maybe a tad OT, but I got a Ehpro KFL+ nano on order that comes with PC tanks..
If I order a glass tank kit for KFL+, all I need is the longer chimmey and glass and maybe gaskets?? Appears it might be harder to find nano glass.. Thanks
also Waiting on M3's sku 4278000 still in china.
From what I've seen, the only glass option was friction held glass which could pop off so I haven't looked since. Most new tanks come with glass now.

What's everyone using in their KM3's? Currently I'm using 30g kanthal wrapped evenly at 2.5mm id wicked with Japanese cotton. Want to try all sizes just to see what's best. Loving how easy these are to use.

I've only been using this Japanese cotton for a few months now and i really like it. How tight should it be when I slide it in my coil? I've been keeping it loose so far and it works. With rayon I've always used a lot more.
Ni200, 3mm ID, 7 wraps spaced and rayon.

I built both the same but one with more rayon than the other. The one with more rayon seems to be working better.

I've tried a number of builds, so far my favorite is 3mm 26g SS @ around .7 ohms.

I wasn't saying it would be worst but at the price they're asking (I saw the same $25 price), I don't think you can go wrong with most of the other no name clones.

Ti gr 1 coil. 26awg, id 2.5mm, 6 wraps I think, 0.26 Ohm, wicked with rayon and temp set to 235C. Vapes like a dream.

PS: did somebody we know snapped today or what? It really looked pathological. Is he alright?

Best setup so far, Fused nano clapton. Insanely moist vapor with awesome flavour. 2x 32g kanthal claptoned with 39g Ni80. 6 wraps around 2mm drillbit, 1.23ohms.
Making this is pain in the ... but so worth it.

I have a perfect cotton build in 2 of mine currently and it's giving me some really great flavor with some mild crackling. Going to keep these wicks going for as long as I can and see how long they will last. I am in Vape Heaven...

Someone snapped?

I rewicked the one with less rayon as it wasn't performing as well as my other one. I might've put too much rayon in there but it's working great. I'm talking wicks out to the chimney walls thick. I made sure the juice holes weren't plugged or covered though.
Got a pic??? Wanting to see what every ones build looks like with these. I will take a pic of mine
