When I get mine, I'll probably use 28 gauge Kanthal, 8-9 wraps at 2 mm. Should be around 1.5 ohms which is where I vape now.

I have tried 27, 28, and twisted 30 gauges. My black one has a simple twisted 30ga 8wraps 2.4mm at 1.45ohms. I had almost always used 3mmcoils in others but this smaller atty seems to like a smaller coil. But I feel the wicking is trickier getting just right with small size- never tried as small as 2mm isnt that a tiny little thread of cotton?

I want to try more wraps in mine today. I had 5/6 in mine for a couple days so this time i will try 7/8 or 8/9 evenly spaced and see how that works.

Yeah i like as many wraps as I can get, so that the coil is just a bit wider than the air hole shaft- and then if needed ill change my wattage setting or use diff gauge wire to get where I need to be. So are u using contact squeezed together type coils or spaced out wraps? Have u noticed any/much difference?

I always use spread out coils. I feel that I get more flavor that way.

Cool, i must try that for sure then, soon! I know in my very beginning of building i did some like that, but once ifinally got a good one going with contact microcoil i just never tried changing that part of it.

Give it a try, can't hurt.. It's so easy to do on these.

I vape only Tobacco flavors. I just can't enjoy anything else. I've tried hundreds of different ones from tobacco to cake and candy and I keep going back to the 2 tobacco ones I've been using for 5 years.
Which two are your staples?

I found a space coil to work better in the KFMV3, my wife was getting a few dry hits when 1st built it with a micro coil, so took out the micro and did a spaced, and she loves that, so I will go with spaced in the KF's from now on :)

What's the ID of your coils?

I found more wick (rayon) works better. I'm using 3mm ID, spaced 28g Ni200, .10Ω. I built my sister's KM3 with a 1.3Ω, 3mm ID, 28g Kanthal micro coil stuffed with rayon and it works great.

What I noticed is that you need to leave at least one of the juice holes clear of wick and the side slots shouldn't be blocked by the wick. I've been trying some really thick juice (80/20?) and I haven't had a dry hit yet, even while chain vaping it.

Using 2.5mm in hers, that is normal ID I use on all my coils.

Also with micro coil I used cotton, with spaced I used rayon, so that could be the difference too.
