Isn't it funny how just a slight adjustment of coil and wick can make a huge difference? I re-wicked one of my KMV3 that had been performing beautifully. After re-wicking, the flavor was muted, so I took the deck off, washed it out, and noticed that my coil was sitting almost right on top of the air hole. Don't know how that happened. Also the wick was a tad on the spare side. So I adjusted the coil to about 1mm above and put in a slightly more substantial wick, and voila! From meh to magnificent! Kayfuns can be touchy! I guess this is why I know several friends to tried them and gave up!

I think leaking is down to the orings most of the time, I have 2 black, but was only using one of them, and was leaking, so switched to the other black and it is working fine, also my plus version had developed a leaking problem too.

Hope some US sites start to carry the orings, so can get some decent one's for them.

I have done all of that and i still get liquid going into the air channels. Even with the tank completely closed and fill it up with juice.. I go to vape it and something is leaking inside.. Its either a faulty design or maybe the orings or something inside is lose or something. Should i contact them and try to get a new atomizer? Or do u think i should hold onto it and get authentic o rings.. It still vapes good, and its not really flooding, but its annoying as hell to hear gurgling sounds and once in awhile juice does seem to come out of the airholes

I solved part of the problem by tightening the deck onto the base as Ricks suggested above (using the hex nut below). Thank you Ricks and everyone else for helping. Now onto building a right handed coil.... Still confused why that should make a difference, but we shall see...

Yeah I did it again just now,, i opened all up checked in side and tried to tighten it, its pain in the #$#$ ... to tighten it while holding it in place. I used the paper clip method, but its still tricking, need the right paper clip.. It seems better, but I bet pretty soon it will flood again.. But so far its ok.

You can also use a pair of tweezers that fit inside the slots; works like a charm...

:D The only atty I know of that takes a left-handed coil is that wretched Erlkonigin, so don't worry about left and right--just make sure you wind a proper right-hand coil for your Kayfuns.

The different is in the ends of the wire. See pic,

Why in probably 200 pages of posts on RTA's is this the very first time I've heard this You Have To Wind A KF coil as a RH coil? Never even heard Anything about how they differ Anywhere.

It has to do with the positioning of the screws I guess.

You don't. You can wind it any way you want.

BUT most would agree that it is easier to wrap the legs clockwise around the screws, as the wire has a tendency to slip out from under the screw if you go counter-clockwise. Perhaps you should make both types of coils yourself - I suspect the point will be easier seen with if you use larger gauge wire - and try it yourself.

But no, there is no law that says you have to do it that way and you can certainly do it the other way if you so desire. Or any other way you see fit. It is, after all, quite possible that none of the handful of us who have been discussing this over the last few pages know what we're talking about.

As an aside, I have a hard time wrapping my head around the "right hand" and "left hand" designation. Think I prefer clockwise vs counter-clockwise, but I understand the point in any event.

I just got my 2 black Tobeco KM3 from VapeNW today. I ordered them Sunday night so they shipped pretty fast. I built one and it's the best KM3 version I have.
Lol. Sounds like I should have ordered 2 more of those rather than the Fasttech ones. Why do you think they are the best? I havent gotten my FT ones yet.
