View attachment 552747 I just got the cheaper Mini V3 Plus from FT and the airflow seems to be very restricted compared to the Mini V3 I bought from 3F. I've opened up the airflow as much as I can with no success. Should I just remove the airflow screw altogether?
Probably won't matter but I guess there's no harm in trying. Once the screw clears the air slots in that center post you won't get any more air no matter how much you unscrew it.

Does the air hole on the deck look smaller that the 3F one?

Thanks for sharing your opinion. I tried removing the airflow screw and as you've stated, I'm not getting any extra airflow.
Visually the airflow hole on the deck looks similarly sized. I don't have a caliper so I couldn't measure them to be certain. What is different is the height of the chimney, the V3 Mini being taller than the Plus. Overall I prefer the 3F V3 Mini over the Plus, both in flavor and airflow draw.

Try swapping the center post between the 2???

So the SXK one is a crappy one?
The terminal screws/holes are a p.i.t.a. JFC is a little stiff compared to my 4278000 and plus, so I'm keeping an eye on that o-ring. Otherwise it's OK, but for those deciding between the two- I recommend the 4278000 and the Plus- no problems with the terminal screws on those.

@magicmyst Have you tried screws from one of the other kits or just the SXK?

@paladinx FWIW: Maybe make sure the JFC is actually closing and not just feeling close by hanging up on the bottom o-ring (had that once with one).. you could take the bottom deck o-ring off, put tank on, see if it closes further than with the o-ring..

Also make sure you have the 2 o-rings on the top-cap, 1 outside and the inside (which seals the chimney) one can come out when cleaning.

Sure the o-rings that come with them are not the best and may not last, But they are functional and get the job done..

I think someone posted earlier that Origin-vape (?) is going to get authentic o-rings from SM.. Not sure who, but you can look back a few pages.. The AUTHENTIC KMV3 is also out there somewhere.

I replaced the bottom deck o-ring with the one which has a smaller cross-section (thinner) and slightly larger ID.. works for me.
Maybe the ones that are same thickness, but smaller ID, may work better (IDK) as you stretch them they thin out..

What works for me may not work for others, but so far I love em :)

I would rather have a detailed look a the center pin. It is probably stuffed with some crap..

Thanks for that info.. Hmmm.. when you say two o-rings.. where exactly do you mean, because I am looking inside the tank, I don't see an inner o-ring.. My base has two o-rings.. One below the build deck, and than one further down at the bottom of the base.

I seen a reviewer use chapstick on o rings before.
Once again, something from my fountain pen repair box will work in the vape arena.

I have pure, food grade silicone grease for lubing pen parts. Hint, hint, it's also used to lube SCUBA
regulator o-rings and seals. Tasteless, inert, heat resistant, other ect; goodness.

I think its something faulty , its too much liquid and it happens soon as I open the juice control. It ruins the experience for me otherwise it would be a great attie.
That sounds like it might be a vacuum problem - or more accurately a lack of vacuum or a vacuum failure problem. You might check the o-rings in the upper (tank) section. Above and below the glass, and two on the top-fill cap (the part that you screw off to fill the tank). Here's a blow-up vid:

Thanks, All my o rings seem in the right spots.

@paladinx ^^ what Jump showed.. I was thinking maybe you lost the inside cap o-ring, which would cause vacuum leak.

IMO maybe the JFC is hanging up and not closing..like it's suppose too.

So I'd close it down, look at how far the bottom tank section screws into bottom exterior base section.

Than pull the base out, remove the o-ring (last one, below threads) and (only for a visual, not to fill and try and run it)..put base on and see if it screws further down with-out the o-ring..
if Yes..change o-ring to thinner one and try that..
Hope it helps and makes sense..

Swampus is probably right, but just to eliminate the possibility of a vacuum problem you might test it. Take the top section fully assembled but sans drip tip, close off the bottom with your palm, suck on the top to create a vacuum, then use your tongue to seal in the vacuum. The vacuum should hold almost indefinitely. If it does your vacuum is fine.

yeah you guys might be right, Have to check that out, It looks like even when I close it down there is a small gap where juice can get into the juice flow channels.. Not sure, but I can fill the tank and vape on it for awhile with the juice closed all the way for awhile before it gets dry

Finally got around to building the SXK version I got a week ago (Been busy trying to get good builds on the 4278000 and the Plus.) The deck screws on the SKX are crap: they tend to spit out the wire (28g) even if you're holding the wrap nice and tight. The screws (or the screw holes) also don't screw in tight- they tend to back themselves out. Major P.I.T.A. I swapped the screws with some replacements from the Accessories Pack, but still had trouble with one of them. Aaarg! Took me 1.5 hours to do one build, and I don't trust it to hold the wire securely.
Anyone know the size of the terminal post screws for the KMV3? Fasttech has lots of screws, but don't know what size?
