Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

I did think about ordering glass tanks, as want spares anyway, but they are 'ship in 7 business days' and didn't want to add that much more time for my order, will order them later on.

That's why I make separate orders for everything. I have 5 orders right now. 2 have shipped. I learned my lesson with FT.

Very smart. I hate it when they say it shipped and it never did. Then I get the email saying that they are out of stock and will I wait for an undetermined amount of days. I will try to buy from other China suppliers first and if they don't have what I want then I will get it from FT.

fasttech used to be the best. Not anymore tho. The last year or so, they have gotten very slow with shipping.

I'm lucky I guess. No complaints for me. Usually get it within 10-12 days. When I see other items ready to ship and only a few things restocking, open a ticket and send those items that are ready. Basically breaking up the order.

Did that with the last 3 orders and they are on the way in Chicago.

I just took a gander up close at the all black version on FT.

However they've done the black, and it looks like just paint, they did a pretty poor job on the one the
shot the pics with. Several areas where the stainless underneath is showing through and a thin looking
spot on the center post.

I would hope that they'd be either powdercoated or anodized but if they did that, they did even a Worse
job than the paint I suspect they used.

I've been using a 2.5mm id coil in all my Km3's. Going to try a larger one next to see if there is any difference. What size are you using?

have any of you guys tried the hurricane clone? I hear a lot about the hurricane some say its the best tank, I know its off topic, but I am posting it here cause Id like to know if anyone has had both and can give their feedback

Well, just wanted to let you guys know that I nailed it with my latest rayon wick.

Regarding the gurgling after extended rest, I found that it's determined by the distance between the coil and the positive base air hole. If it's less than 1-1.5mm, the ejuice accumulated in the wick will eventually touch the base and start dripping slowly into the air channel. If you keep the coil at or over 1.5mm this doesn't happen.

I was looking at those and the plastic tank has me worried with cracking from liquids. What do you know about them?

I have 3 hurricane clones, they are great for flavor and wide range of air settings, but the hurricane is a plastic tank as ricks said, and now I would choose the phoenix just because it does have a glass tank, but still same base and AFC. Also I do get some seepage occasionally, but the flavor makes it worth it though.

Hoping to get the same sort of flavor from the KFV3, but without any leaking, and thinking I will, as already tried my wife's a few times, and since she got it, not seen a drop on the outside of the tank

My order says shipped on 4/7 for the Plus..last order was 10 days, so we'll see..
Order #2 which included glass tank spares went out today..

I passed on the hurricane (as mentioned above) plastic tank..and the glass tank version has poor reviews.. Don't understand why they making high $$ tanks with PC..

I rebuilt at 2.5mm with 28g kanthal about 1.2 ohm works good and no problems trapping wire..got some 28g SS316L to try next

Went to the post office. The vape gods were not shining on me today. So 3fvape lists it as shipped, which was shipped the next day. I don't know how long china->canada flight is, but it must have long arrived by now, unless it's being held up in customs (canada or china? who knows). But I'm not going to raise a stink at day 13, although I thought it would have been here by tomorrow.

I don't even bother looking for anything shipped registered from China until 3 weeks. It is probably in customs in Richmond and they take there sweet time then it has a 4-7 day trip by road. I alway figure 3-6 weeks to get anything from that side of the world.

Hello everyone, I'm a new member here with my first post ever. Have been reading this and other archived threads for some time and wanted to finally jump in and join the fun.
'Tchavei' just mentioned the gurgling issue, I have been having that too and hope to solve it once and for all now by following his advice, thanks! And thanks to everyone else for posting so many other tips and findings- I have found many helpful things here on ECF and hope I can begin to pay it forward some!

The way I avoid gurgling issues is to just close the juice control when not in use. It also gives me a piece of mind as it avoids any chances of leaking as well. I'm anxiously waiting for reviews of the plus version now. A 22mm version would look nicer on my current mod.

I have read a little about airflow screw issues, and it seems that may be the area of concern for me. Time to do a re-wick and quick clean anyway, so ill just take a look in there while I'm at it. We shall see........

how in earth didn't I thought of this? I feel stupid now.

Anyway, I only had gurgling after a day or two leaving the atty on its side. Nothing problematic but I'm OCD and my erlprinz never does that.

I can now report that after 18h on its side, not even a hint of gurgling (tank full and juice flow open).
