I've read bits and pieces, but in plain terms, what is the diff between the KF5 and the KFL/KFM?

Is it mainly about more air flow/airier hit?

Pretty much, more air flow, 22mm, larger capacity. Looking forward to it myself, probably going to go with the Tobeco version asap.

Tobeco seems to be right on top of this one, with what appears to be actual pics of it.

Looks like they will at least have black and SS, lists with glass & SS tanks included.

Tobeco kayfun V5 Atomizer Specifications:
Top filling
Liquid control (fully adjustable)
Anti heat driptip with POM inlay (engraved)
Insulators: PEEK, POM-C
316L stainless steel
510 connector
Diameter: 22mm
Height: 60mm (without mouthpiece)
tank capacity: glass tank 4ml, steel tank 5ml

The airflow control can now be adjusted externally and has 4 positions:
1,8mm (Kayfun Lite plus)
2,2mm (Kayfun 4)
2,7mm (Kayfun 4S)
3,2mm (maximum airflow)

Hmm. I wonder why @Katya thinks there is a problem with the K5's airflow?

I'm afraid that there might be too much air for my taste. The K4 and the K3 mini come with a 2.2 mm diameter center air port. The K5 has a much larger 3.2 mm hole. And since I find the 2.2 mm just about perfect, I'm not thrilled about that 1 mm increase. SM is aware of the problem and promises a simple and inexpensive fix soon--probably an insert/diameter reducer of some sort.

Phil was also unhappy about it, and since his vaping preferences are very similar to mine, his review just reinforced my doubts.

Oh no. There's much more than that. SM has redesigned the K pretty extensively starting with the K4--larger airport hole (went from 1.8 to 2.2 to 3.2 mm in the K5; top filling, air and juice flow control have been improved also.

I only had an EHPro Kayfun Lite + and we didn't quite get along. Filling was a pain (to fill the tank you had to unscrew a tiny screw on the bottom, fill, screw the screw back in). And the thing whistled like a kettle.

If you like the V3 Mini but want more juice, I've been enjoying the heck out of this one (another Katfind).
$18.44 Kayfun Mini V3 Plus Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3.5ml / stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

It's exactly like the mini (airflow & all), but 24mm wide.

As for filling the Lite, this is an essential for me.
$2.94 Kayfil Tool - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

EASY! And a bit of teflon tape kills that whislte, at least with the EH Pro version.

I NEVER wanted to know this much about stupid rebuildable stuff - just sayin'. Blister packs forever!!!

It's the one on the right, sitting on an OlaX Hero (nice fit!).

Love the Plus! In fact, I get better flavor from this tank than from the Minis. The folks who are carping about the V5 airflow would probably like this tank if they could bring themselves to buy a clone. Oh wait! This isn't a clone- because SvoeMesto doesn't make one like this. Bet they wish they did! ;)

Old Wives Tale: "Positioning the coil close to the air hole produces more flavor."

OK, there may be a modicum of truth to this, because obviously, if your coil is really too high, you're going to get less flavor. But thinking this was true, I've always had my coil about 1 - 1.5mm from the hole, but in the process of my flavor chasing, I've found that I get more flavor at 2 - 2.5mm. YMMV.

Old Wives Tale 2: "On the KMV3 it's important to fill the entire width of the juice well with wick."

No. Because if you've got too much wick covering the juice holes at the sides of the wells, you'll inhibit juice flow and wicking by creating a bit of a clog. You don't even need to have the juice holes covered with wick, but it's preferable to at least have some light, wispy wick in the corners.

I've come to the conclusion that some like it close and some like it higher for flavor. I have always found the most flavor with my coil as close as possible to the air hole. Everyone has their own opinion on this and I say vape it whatever way works the best for you...

My 2 Merlin RTA's are coming this morning and I can't wait to try them... Great looking tanks!

Yep- I agree. And it may be different for various juices and tanks. My point is: Don't assume everything you read is gospel. It pays to try different things.

I love my v5... But when a clone hits the market, in the basket it goes. As for airflow on the v5, every one has there own taste. I have been only using my v5 the past week. Ignoring my picos, v3 mini's and rda's. But i will get back to them in due time.

This one has been in my cart at FT for a couple of months; the regulars here like it a lot. :) The reason I didn't get one--no spare parts yet and I actually prefer my K4s to the mini. I know, I'm weird, but I love my K4s. That's why I'm still waiting and hoping for the K5 with an MTL fix. I've been waiting for a streamlined K4 for a very long time--I can wait a few more weeks. It's not just about juice capacity--I want a larger deck, easier build, etc.

NO!!!! Been there done that. Not going back to the lights. EVER.

No more Kayfun filling tools, slap yo mamas, or Teflon tape.

Besides, I really didn't care for that tight draw. And please, don't suggest I get a dremel. ;)

Blister packs forever? Talk to Zeller.
