Attack of the (Kayfun Mini V3) Clones!

I need help I been playing with my kfmv3 for a few weeks and I cant seem to get that wow flavor. any suggestion on builds I have 28g and 26g khantal? I get good but not great flavor i know it can be better

Same here- still chasing that WOW flavor build. Close...but not quite. After MUCH experimentation, here's where I've landed:

Coil: 2mm, 28g, contact (touching), 9-10 wraps, 1.5 - 1.6 Ω, 3.7V. You might want to try different heights above the air hole. I'm usually somewhere around 1.5mm.

Wick: Organic cotton, nice straight strands, as Katya said, don't over-stuff those juice wells.

I've also messed around using different thickness of wick. Found out less wick is more flavor for me.

Don't forget about 29g Kanthal A1...it's been working great for me..

Seems to be the perfect heat-flux for me running 3.7-4v wrapped +/- 1.5 ohms..2- 2.5mm ID .. contact or spaced..cotton or SallyRay wicks.

That said, my Kmv3 is not as good, flavor wise, as my K4. I don't know why, it just isn't.

I built up a K4 (first time) the other day..and really like it.. after getting past the intimating parts.. I wish I'd bought all they had left at $4.99 (oh-well)

It is definitely on par, if not better IMHO than the Plus, which again IMHO is better than the mini... don't know why..just is..

Hey guys. Does anyone know of a US vendor that sells the Kayfun mini clone? Besides VapeNW as they are out of stock on the SS ones... I suppose I'll get the black one as a last resort, but it wouldn't match anything. Also, how do I avoid resistance jumping? My current Kayfun always goes up in resistance after I wick it and put on the rest of the tank. I tried taking the entire thing apart, cleaning it out, tightening everything, but it still does it. Kind of annoying.

Does anyone else get this? Its not coming out of the 510 but from the edges of the bottom cup. I get a "liquid in the airflow" type of drag after a couple of tanks, no matter how I wick it.... It's not fully flooding the chamber but some is definitely going into the airflow and I'm using the new plastic airflow grub that should minimise this...

Yes- a number of us here have seen this, and the consensus seems to be that it could have various causes, including careless filling (juice in the air hole) or loose inner plate and center pin. Could also be condensation. You can start by taking out the center pin and base and washing and drying everything out. Check to be sure this hex is tight (be sure to secure the block so it doesn't move):

What kind of tool do I need to tighten that? Don't think anything I have fits

You need a socket/wrench to tighten the hex screw. Otherwise a pair of small narrow-nosed pliers will do.

I have a 4475900 and am very pleased with it. The Plus 1.5, above, seems to have a re-styled top cap.
