Oh yea. K4 is a beast. Watch some videos how to build--I like Phil and Ruby Roo. It's a PITA at first, but like everything else in life, it gets easier. I'm surprised that you got a harsh vape. Never happened to me. 29g Kanthal, 2.5 mm ID, ~1.5Ω, JOC, 9-11 watts. Like butter. Keep trying and good luck!

Could just be the relatively fresh Caramel Pear Black Tea astringency thing. I'll probably try a SS316L spaced coil next to see if the K4 can handle TC without modification. Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "harsh" - it's more like there's more throat hit than I expected. Flavor is pretty good so far. Hope the wicking lasts longer than with the KM3, though.

The Kayfun V3 Plus 1.5 really ain't all that, there is a lot of machine burrs that need to be cleaned up and that center post hole is only 2mm.

Gong Cheng is the MFG and they seem to be a basement operation...

I found out today how stupid the KFM3 design is. If you happen to flood it, you have to take out the center post to clean it. This will allow the positive block to dangle free and possibly distort your coil ATS in the process...

It pays to be a relative dummy. I scratched in that line you spoke of, and it's been nothing but perfect. More on the way though, so I may discover differently. I may have just been lucky with the first one.

Steam Tuners make a spring update that fixes the floating resistance of the KFV4 because of the spring in the base.

Even with all it's parts, the KFV4 is an excellent RTA.

Anybody here have a serpent mini? I'm thinking about ordering one. How does it compare to a typical Kayfun vape? Any leaking problems or other issues?

I like my KFMs but they don't match the vape quality of my 3.1 clones that I've been using for the last 2 years. I adore the 3.1s and have been top filling them since I got them. They almost never leak/gurgle. All 3 of my KFMs from FT have sporadic leaking/gurgling when refilling. I've fiddled with everything and I think the only thing that could be causing it are the slots in the top cap not releasing air when screwing down. Maybe they aren't big enough.

Just gave it a quick wash to be sure. Air port is 2mm which I prefer for my vaping style. I will keep 1.5 in my list since it has the same air port and KFM3 seems not to be conservative in juice consumption. A bit more capacity seems helpful.

Just gave it a quick wash to be sure. Air port is 2mm which I prefer for my vaping style. My2 1.5 Plus' from FT came in stunning and perform flawless. The 2 SXK Mini's came in missing the 510 screws AND Insulators- BOTH. CS took 3 days to respond, and hopefully they send replacement parts. If not I will order K4 as I got one mini working with the spare K4 parts I have, dang it.

I think I found a problem.. When I vape I notice there is vapor coming into the tank from the top.. that shouldn't be happening.. maybe that is a reason why its gurgling.

I ordered 2 of these when they were first available (at $17 ea). The only thing I could critique was the threads for the tank were a bit on the loose side and the tank wobbles a bit more than my Tobeco KM3's but not really an issue. I've been using them with TP coils (just switched from NI200 to 316ss) and they're reliable. I saw the prices went down and was tempted to order a couple more but I placed orders for 2 KF5's (Angelcigs and FT). I'll order a few black ones from Tobeco if I like them.

If you choose DHL with Focal, it'll be the same shipping time. Delivery time is dependent on the carrier, not the vendor.

I got mine in about 2 weeks from Focal. I ordered a black one from FT and it was also about 2 weeks.

True. I ordered a lot from both and Focal usually ships out on time or early more times than FT. FT usually goes to "restocking" when shipping date is reached more often. One of the reasons I don't like ordering from FT.

Are the kfm 3 tobecco clones the better ones?

The 2 black Tobeco KM3's are better than the Focal version, IMO. Less wobble but VapeNW is out of stock in silver. They still have black in stock. I don't know where else the Tobeco is available.

I would never give up on my beautiful Kayfun Mini v2.1 ES for this ugly "mini". I haven't seen uglier RTA in a long time.

With focal, I get it with ePacket. In past, I used the default Deutsche post and always got them later.
