The replacement base they are sending is this one which has a 23.5mm diameter and might not fit the Pico. It could be a typo from FT but I will update when it gets here. They shipped it out Singapore Post and that is usually 4-5 weeks getting here.

I've heard it may fit the Pico, but you first need to take off the battery cap. I am more concerned about fitting a 23.5 mm base onto a glass tank designed for 22.5 mm. Maybe it will work.

It does not go anywhere near the glass. The base could be 40mm in diameter, as long as the center threaded parts are the right size it will fit the tank.

Keep us posted, I had a different problem with V1.5 and waiting for a replacement.

In other words the glass and sleeve are the same diameter in both versions? Hope so :)

I've got that one, dskeik, and I do like it. But in truth, every one of my KFM tanks do tend to weep a bit. It's never an uncontrollable leak, but they're very vapor towel engaged..

I wanted to love this one: $13.46 Kayfun Mini V3 Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2ml / 316 stainless steel + glass / 19mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I really wanted to love it, but the two we got had probs with the deck screws spitting out the wires. FT DID replace the decks, and so far they have been ok.

I thought TC prevented or eliminated dry hits? (NO expert here)

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the SKX one about the time of your post. Just got it today and am using it now. Night and day difference on the AFC base. It turns so easy compared to the $12.98 FT one. No leaking so far and the screw issue with the SKX model must be fixed as I didnt encounter it.
