Sjmy Left // Authentic right
After spending all day with the SJMY, tearing it apart, cleaning it, building it, I have spotted a few differences.
1.) The SJMY kayfun airflow control ring has zero play in it. The authentic has alot of play which allows easier for adjusting airflow when you have to pull up and down the AFC ring. The SJMY because it has no play, it is harder to get the AFC ring up and down as you have to match exactly the shape of the base to the AFC ring.
Not sure how I feel about this as I dont like having any play in my devices, however I can see the reason why svoemesto wanted there to be some in the AFC ring.
2.) There is an insulator on the 510 base with the SJMY clone. My authentic does not have a insulator on the 510 base, unless I completely missed it and overlooked it.
3.) As I mentioned in a prior post, the clone o-rings are trash and in my opinion not the right tolerance at all. I swapped the clone to authentic o-rings and it feels exactly like my authentic.
Everything apart from these minor niggles, the SJMY is identical, I cant stress this enough.
I have both built with 0.75 ohm twisted 27 gauge kanthal 3mm. Same juice, same wattage, it is the exact same vape.
In person, i cannot even spot a difference in materials used. The steel looks the same, insulator materials look the same, glass seems of same quality.
