I grabbed one recently off Ebay. Like the Plus version alot more. They made room for a 23.5mm tank and added a replaceable battery.

Now if we could just get them to combine the features of the Beyond vape version with the stock it would be a slick lil set-up. I really like finish work BV had done at the factory. Supposedly had some TC changes made to the chip as well...

Curious, what are these BV-features you speak off? I've always liked the look of the Athena version better but that's just a matter of personal taste of course. From what I gather from reviews the BV version does have a better fit & finish though.

One of my local companies, Beyond Vape, got together with Athena and partnered on a modified device they called the Beyond Vape Athena Tandem. It's got a superior fit and finish with a tweaked chip for better TC but retains the internal battery. It also has a bigger price tag. I'll send you a link via PM. :)

Yeah, I'm aware of their version of the Envy 22, I just didn't know there were more differences besides fit & finish and look.

The looks don't appeal to me at all I'm afraid, and then there's that 85$ price-tag... Thanks for informing me though!

SKX Kayfun v5

Got mine. overall pretty impressive.

Most impressive things: Left it full of ejuice for about a week, it didnt leak a drop of ejuice. I thought the deck was really easy to build a coil on also.

Least impressive thing: The 510 threaded connector is so short when I use it I have to adjust the derlin pin up to make contact.

Oddball thing: Shutting of the Kayfun to top fill it. You have to twist the tank real tight to shut of the airflow, and then back twist it to open up the airflow mechanism so it will work. It works pretty good tho.

IMO, you have to wait about a day to get the adjustable airflow mechanism to work properly, give the VG some time to get on the orings so there is some lubrication for it to move without the friction.

The dashboard airlflow adjusting mechanism, does make quite a difference. I thought at one star, (tightest airflow constraints) the Kayfun 5 was close to a lite plus for airflow, although perhaps not quite as tight. At wide open - 4 stars, a really airy draw, reminded me a little of the Kayfun Monster v2, although the flavor from the monster was better.

I have been running my SXK in rotation with my Tobeco version. Both work perfect no leaks beautiful flavor. I think you mean twisting the tank shut's off the juiceflow not airflow.I have not had a problem with the 510 on either version. This really is a great tank.

By golly I think I have something to post about here. On one of my SXK clones I would get a bit of liquid seeping from the AC ring. This was some pretty minor leaking but bugged me pretty bad. I changed some o-rings one at a time among other things. What I believe was happening was juice was getting under part #12 because part #6 was not quite tight enough. I had checked for tightness prior to using it and once after and it appeared tight.
I had not disassembled this upon initial cleaning on any of mine.
Tonight I took assembled #9 and rinsed it off real good. When disassembled there was juice under part # 12.
So far no leaking but it's still early but I'm confident that I've located the problem.

Now don't be over tightening part #6 and snapping it off and blaming me.....LOL

I think I have a problem with my black Tobeco V5.

If you turn the JFC open and close (not even all the way, just give it a little half turn twist) something's loose in there and there's a click when changing the direction in which you twist it. It stops for a while sometimes when you adjust it slowly but mysteriously starts again after a while.

Wicking is also not as it should be, I have to open the topcap way too often to get it going again. It keeps running dry on me no matter if the tank is full, half full or almost empty.

Does any one have any idea what could cause this or do all Tobeco versions do this? I can't seem to duplicate this with my SJMY version.

My juice is pretty thick by the way, I'm over 85%VG at the moment. Should I thin it or shouldn't that matter? The SJMY version doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

I have the same wicking issue on my SXK's, baffling! my SJMY wicks fine though...

When that happened to me the connector screw wasn't tight. For the dry hits, less wick? The only times I've had that issue was with scottish rolls.

Sounds like you have 2 separate issues.

The clicking might be the coil end rubbing against the chimney. If not, then try changing the o-rings (#10 and 11).

I use 50-90% vg juices and no issues on any of my Tobecos or SXK (or AC). Could be your wick. Check to make sure there's nothing blocking all 4 juice holes on the deck.

I might have a little more cotton in there than in the SJMY, I'll check tomorrow.

I don't think the other problem is an o-ring issue, it really feels like something is loose in there. I see what I can find when I open it up.

Can any of you lay it down on it's side with the JFC open without it starting to leak or gurgle by the way?

I noticed that too much cotton and it chokes and not wick well. Too little and it leaks.

You could check the 510 screw and tighten it down.

I had a KF5 on my Target Mini and I would lay it down to charge and never had it leak. In fact, I don't think any of my KF5's leaked since I've been using them.

I've never done it on purpose but I've found it on its side in my bag several times and a few times there was the slightest amount of something, but it may have been condensation. It has never gurgled. Never, not once. Max VG, slightly diluted, live in SE Texas/hot and humid.

How is the threading on the HCigar vs the SXK? Some of the 3.1 +/Lite clones I have (EHPro) are not smooth at all.

HCigar stuff in the past has always been hit or miss. SXK though is usually one of the cream of the crop. They make most of Infinites stuff too and its always been top notch.. Thats weird about your 3.1/Lite clones though. I have two of the EHPro KFL+s and they were absolutely flawless. They botched their KF4 knock off, but for the Lites those were the ones to get.

I wish FT or whoever would sell the "mini" top portion and drip tip! I put the SXK mini top section and drip tip on my SJMY. it shrunk it down a lot :) if I could find the charger for my camera i'd post a pic ;)
It's good to know it fits even though the manufacturers are different. I agree it would be nice if they would sell the top section. We can ask on FT forums the staff does read the comments & requests. Uhm it's a thought.
