Just got my package of 10 Tobeco KF5's this afternoon. I forgot I also ordered 4 glass replacements and ordered a 5pk from FT last week. Why 4 and not 5? I have no idea . I usually don't break them but I saw on the other KF5 thread that a few people broke them so better safe than sorry. I have 10 extras for my KF4 and never broke one in over a year with at least 7 in rotation.

Machining is excellent. Better than the Angelcigs version. The Tobeco JC is fully opened at 2 full turns out whereas the AC version needs 2.5-3 full turns. The top nut (cap) is better made too. Threads are smooth and the 2 I built (1 black, 1 silver) had no metal shavings anywhere. The tank wobbles about the same (very minimal) but the afc has a bit more play. Not really an issue but worth noting. Overall, the Tobeco is definitely a better clone. There are less sharp edges than on the AC version.

I myself am waiting for tobecco version. I use the tobeso version of the KF v4 and its excellent.

By wobble what do you mean, @KTMRider
I asked a couple of places that carried Tobeco and they couldn't confirm whether they'd carry the KF5 so I ordered direct from Tobeco but I had to order 10.

When the JC is opened, some mentioned that the tank wobbled a bit. I noticed it more on the black KM3 I got from FT. It was less noticeable on the other 4 KM3's I got (2 Tobeco and 2 FC). There is a very slight wobble on the 4 KF5's I'm using (3 Tobecos and 1 Angelcig). You really can't notice it unless you really look for it.

Hey guys! I enjoy reading all the commentary about this device. I reeeally really want a KF5!
Unfortunately I've never owned any Kayfun before (auth or clone), nor have I owned any of the other devices everyone is comparing this to.
I'm like a few of you I think, I vape MTL but I prefer a looser draw.
I use my STM exclusively in RBA mode, 1.4 ohms, around 15 watts with the airflow wide open, and I'm pretty happy with that vape. How do you think this would compare to something like that? I could stand to go slightly tighter on air, but not very much. Thanks for any answers :)

I think that you's be happy with the K5. The only complaints I hear come from the people who like a tight draw.

I got a random free Kayfun v4 and the airflow under the coil is smaller than 2mm. Assuming my kv4 is 1.6mm, wouldn't a kv5 with the 1.6mm replacement coil chimney still be more airy since the intake air holes are bigger? On my nautilus if I rebuild a coil with 1.5 id vs 2.5id, I would need to set the intake airflow to different settings to get same tightness of draw.

Well I'm bummed. My KF from FT leaks like a sieve (the no name one). Broke it all down, literally, like in the videos where the only thing said I understood was "OK". Checked every o ring and seal, reassembled, and still leaking. It's odd because it actually seems nicely machined, no rough edges or threading, but it will not hold anything.

I'm putting it to the side while I think this over, but if I can't figure it out, this looks like a faulty unit which will head back where it came from. Kinda bummed as I really wanted this one to work, and I set a FT record of 7 days from order to delivery too. At least my Merlin arrived at the same time so I have something to play with that works.

Not good news,

I'm still waiting for my SJMY that I won on 3F but I have a feeling Fasttech may be receiving quite a few SXK's back, they first batch have started to arrive & are coming unengraved without the SXK logo inside the AFC ring.

Some debate now as to if they are actually SXK's in the first place.

If anyone has received a fasttech SXK could you post your impressions, I have one stuck in the restocking stage but I'm thinking I might just cancel it & stick with the SJMY
