Got mine in yesterday and I put in the single coil deck with reducer. Wrapped up a nice 2x28gx38g ss316l Clapton coil. Ohmed out to .59 @24watts. Flavor out the wazoo (my first order of Royal Custard came in yesterday from england and I am in love with there Donut Custard)the flavor definitely pops a bit more then the Merlin regular although you sacrifice eliquid. Will try dual deck soon and update post!!!!!

Thanks for the review. I ordered one for my newly converted MIL who at 77 years of age just started vaping last week. I have her set on my old Lemo 2 right now but it is hard for her to fill with her arthritis. I am hoping this will be easy fill and a good MTL experience for her. Should get it Thursday so I am really looking forward to it after your positive review.

This looks great - just wish it came in black. Looking for a black, low-profile 24mm RTA for the VT75 Nano I have on the way. There are others out there, but this one appears to be legitimately MTL'able, which is a must. Ticks all the boxes except color. Oh well. I can wait for the black version. The Nano is coming from GearBest, so I've got nothing but time.

I'm also waiting for the black version for the Nano. It's the only appropriately sized 24mm single coil RTA I've been able to find. What other small 24mm RTAs are out there besides the Mage and Moonshot? I have a Moonshot 24 and I have trouble getting a good vape from it with a low wattage build. It's great at closer to 100, but I need a good performer at 30-60 for the Nano. As for the Mage, the build quality turned me away.

I'm looking at the Avocado 24mm too. They can be set up for single coil, and with the side airflow, MTL seems conceivable. Haven't found another 24mm that I think would work for me. Also considering the 25mm Serpent Mini. I can use that in my Cuboid if the overhang on the Nano bugs me. I hear the KFV5 MTL kit will work with the Serpent Mini.

I very briefly considered the Avocado, but I can't bring myself to buy another genesis style tank after my experience with the Limitless Plus. They can provide an excellent vape, but they leak if laid on their side. The Nano seems pointless to me if it's topped with an atty that can't be pocketed. I looked at the Serpent Mini as well, I'm not sure what would be more annoying: the space leftover by the 22 or the overhang from the 25, though the overhang would probably barely be noticeable. Otherwise it's perfect. If you do wind up getting it I'd definitely be interested in a pic or two of the combo.

Have you considered the OBS Engine? It's 25 mm, very short and supposedly pretty leak proof. Tight MTL may be questionable but worth looking into. I have both an Engine and a Merlin Mini on the way.

I have 4 full-sized Merlins, 2 stainless and 2 black, so I ordered one of each of the conversion kits from Fasttech. I'll soon have 2 full-sized and 2 mini Merlins (1 in each color)... Win! :thumb:

OK, so ... checked STS this morning (because OCD demanded it) and I panicked when I saw there were only 35 Mini's left in stock, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I looked at a few other tanks, but this is the one I wanted. I'll get another one when the black version is available. Or maybe I'll follow DebbyNY's lead and get a full-size with the conversion kit. Of course, then I'll have to get another mod for the full-size ... and so it goes.

So after running it for a day with the dual deck (no reducer) I switched back to the single coil deck as the dual worked great it produced some seriously tasty thick vapor it however also guzzled juice and used a lot more power. I have it on my snowolf mini 80w right now which makes for a super stealthy little kicker

Alright, alright, alright! Let's do this.
Unboxing:
x19q.jpg

A single coil two post deck, dual coil deck, orings, extra post screws, spare glass, allen key, and a 1.5 and 2mm restrictor set.

x19w.jpg

Topcap, fill port, and chamber.

x19J.jpg

x19K.jpg

x19z.jpg

The base, single and dual decks. They screw in to the base. There are orings on the bottom of each deck, providing a proper seal.

x19p.jpg

x19Y.jpg

x19v.jpg

x19O.jpg

x19M.jpg

The 2mm restrictor comes installed on the deck. Easy romoval. The positive pin protrudes past the threads.

x198.jpg

x19E.jpg

x19W.jpg

My build is twisted claptons 28/36n80, 4mm, 5wrap.

x1F3.jpg

x1F6.jpg

x1FD.jpg

So for wicking I fluff the tails, tuck the bottom 1/3 or so in, then fold the rest down on the cups. I do the same with the full size. 30/70vg

x1Fe.jpg

Biggest fill ports I've used.

x1Fx.jpg

BLUB, BLUB, BLUB!!!

BLUB, BLUB, BLUB!!!

Once again, very good photos!

As far as I can tell, the only piece that does NOT come apart is the AFC ring, maybe the only press fit part, unless it's secured some other way? Shame as you won't be able to fully clean it properly, I guess a good hot water rinse and dry will suffice, or a good ultrasonic clean. My tank came super clean, an alcohol wipe down showed no machine oils, though I always clean new tanks, before breathing them into my irreplaceable lungs!

Looks like no more lengthy threads about the press fit bottom leaking, (sorry Ricks, you won't be hammering this one) :)

No tiny unsecured oring under the top fill cap to lose.

Only two gripes:

1st: According to the email I received from SubTank supply, these are a limited run, and there will be NO black version. While there is no way to confirm this, I searched the Chinese sites, and only see the SS version. (Sorry to all those stating they were going to wait for a black model). I'd like one as well.

2nd: My JFC ring moves too easily, and in combination will the properly tight AFC ring, it's tough to get one set without effecting the other. I opened the bottom up and cleaned off any juice on both threaded sides of the JFC area, and it's a little tighter. If this happens to you, just try to keep any slippery juice getting on those threads.

Vapes GREAT, other then less juice capacity, which doesn't bother those of us that like to change flavors more often, and like smaller tanks, overall I think it's better then the full size version.
