I received my purple 650 Volt Spinner this past Thursday. Vaped it right out of the mail (after letting it thaw). I've charged it once and it's still going strong. 650's last me a long time because I have a number of PVs going at the same time. I'm still experimenting with different delivery systems, flavors and voltage. Love the options these make available!

I like the size and versatility of these Spinners, plus the quality. More of these are in my future. The X2 didn't replace my love for the slim batts but this Spinner just may. Won't replace my use of them completely but this is the first fat batt I will take with me to use in public. It's a real winner! Now if someone would just make a mini vivi nova with 808 threads.

Edited to add: I will never stop using SI cartos. They are my workhorses and I love them. But sometimes I like to use something that holds more liquid for my very favorite flavors. SI cartos performs great with this spinner, imo.

Wow, and I thought my plan was to upgrade all my batts to 650 X2s. The rainbow 650 X2 that I got just a few weeks ago runs hotter (perfect for T3s, but burns all my cartos) - if it were a VV, it wouldn't matter so much. I would swap it out, but Heather did such a bang-up job at hooking me up when they shipped the wrong color. So looks like I'll be getting 650 Spinners from now on! :thumb:

no you cannot use the same charger...it is listed under the cautions of the spinner.

Ran the 900 dry, then charged from my laptop usb port. Only 5 hours to get the green light? The 650 manual takes over night and well into the next day.

Can't remember if this question has been answered.. can I charge other batteries with the Spinner charger?

Just to clarify, you can't mix and match the chargers: different inputs. Ego/Spinner chargers = 4.2V/420mAh (something like that) vs regular Volt chargers = 5V/500mAh. If you mix them, you'll probably screw up your battery. The USB that they plug into though (wall wort, car charger, powered USB hub, computer), you can pretty much use anything. ;)

So yeah, they're not just trying to sell more chargers. You really need to have the right one.

you have to be clear,,some folks get confused about the wall wort/wall charger and the part that the threaded end of the battery screws in to.

the SI and the EGO spinners have different threading,so i don't see how you could thread the wrong battery on the wrong charger.

just don't be stupid and try and thread a X2 on to a spinner charger.

I thought all SI batts (including the new SI Spinner) have 808 threading. They could all screw in to either charger dongle thingie (even the X2), but you wouldn't want to do that, because you'd screw up the battery. I only mentioned "eGo" (followed by a slash to indicate "either/or") because that's what the Spinner charger is based on. I mentioned the USB that the chargers plug into (wall wort, etc.) to clarify that those don't have to be SI- or device-specific - you can pretty much plug them into any USB port...once you have the right dongle. And you'd never wanna use a dongle on the X2 - just the cable.

Just reiterating. I thought my previous post was pretty clear.

it was clear to folks who knew what you were talking about.LOL.

I want to be clear here.

DO NOT SCREW A X2 IN TO A SPINNER CHARGER

I am not about to find out if it will screw up the X2,,but most likely it will.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Well, an X2 screwed in to any 808 threaded charger, by the threads, won't do anything. If it's an auto it needs air flow to make that terminal "hot" and if it's a manual you need to push the button to make it "hot". Now that's not to say there may be some electronics attached to that connection that monitor output voltage and they might be damaged (fried) by doing that, so it's probably a good idea to only use the mini USB port for charging or the appropriate charger for the Spinner.

I would suggest caution when charging a battery of any kind from the USB port on a PC or laptop. A charger is an inexpensive device, USB ports in a computer are expensive to repair/replace. Being a cautious person, I don't charge anything from USB ports on any of my computers.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it. Your results and mileage may vary. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied. Proceed at your own risk.

Just to support what awsum is saying, just last week I fried a brand new USB wall wart (just a generic one, not a SI product) when I plugged it into the surge protector (not just a power strip, but a surge protector, there is a minor difference)that I use for such things all the time. There were only two other devices plugged into it at the time, and neither were affected. But the USB wall wart immediately went POP! and I got that smell of burnt solder/plastic/electronics. The place I got it from replaced it with no issue.

So...take care. I would wager that, had I had a battery and cable plugged into that wall wart when it popped, all three would've been cooked.

Aysum is correct. Your are risking your computer by charging on them, especially the x2 and spinner. You can use most USB wall chargers. iPhone/iPad ones work great.

yes there will be a valentines day sale... I will say though that it is expected to create an extreme volume so orders may get delayed a few days.

Hmmm almost ready to pull the trigger on one of these, just waiting for paychecks to align, and also holding off to see if SI is going to have a Valentine's Day sale....."eyes Imagine".........:)

Thank you Imagine for the quick response and the sale!

Ya, growing pains can be tough, but it's a good kind of stress. Fortunately for me, I am wanting to try the spinner and also stock up on some more T3's and replacement heads, so other than anticipation, I am not in dire need of anything.

Just want to reiterate how good I think your products and CS are. I am still heavily using the original X2 batteries I got from SI back in May. My first vaping purchase.

One quick question since I don't have time now to go through all of the posts again, I heard the spinner batteries were a bit shorter, but fatter. How much longer is the 1300mah spinner compared to a 900mah X2?

Thank You,

Mark

Someone explain to me how variable voltage works. I'm assuming that the higher the voltage the more vapor output...is that right? Can I get some details?
Variable voltage does have a bit to do with vapor output, but from my experience the juice itself has more to do with vapor production. There is no good short answer to how variable voltage works. We could get into ohms, watts, regulated, rms, peak, blah blah blah. Truth be told, I don't understand it all. With the spinner, the shortest answer would be it allows you to make the batt more or less "hot" depending on the device (carto, clearo, T3, etc) to bring the best flavor out of the juice you're using. For example, nano's taste great with any juice on my 65mm auto's. However, I get a burnt taste with just about any juice if I put a nano on my X2. With the spinner, I can turn the volts down a little and get good flavor on a nano. The opposite is true with the X2 Clearo. The X2 batt works but isn't hot enough to bring the flavor out of many juices. With the spinner, I can turn the volts up to get the best flavor production out of the clearo.
