I know i will eventually look like a bot writing topics, but because you didn' t like my some entry it doesn' t mean you won't like anything that would come out of me, according to me. I believe you did understand that i am not a dialog guy either.

I also realize that if there is not such a topic in the forum it means - with a big possibility - there is no room for that topic in the forum for various reasons such as applicability and so on.. for most examples.

The basic idea is that you wouldn' t have to deal with making coils, trimming it, placing it.. The atomizer would make it itself. You would just put the cotton and ready-to-make wire and the thing will make it by itself. It can be improved by adding steam tuner to the software of your chip. And you will be able to choose however you want to place the coil or trim the cotton..

Do you think it is an applicable project? What is the biggest obstacle against making it or is there any really?

There are quite a few different coils; single gauge of wire, multiple, twisted, etc. Their are already basic tools and some apply for some but not others.

For me, I need a nail and fingernail clippers. Easy to transport.

I have to say, I can appreciate your creativity and ability to think out of the box. Not everyone has such a creative mind.

But, I think this would only appeal to a very narrow market. It would probably be viewed as more of a gimmick to most honestly. The biggest hurdle with this project would be trying to create an automated mechanism (that could wrap multiple sized coils) small enough to fit into an atomizer, be juice proof, and not interfere with ones ability to vape on it. While it is a creative idea, I think that it would end up being far too expensive to produce than the target market would be comfortable paying (that is if it could even realistically be made with all the technical issues you would have to work through to get a functional product that is suitable for the market).

You really do like to think outside the box ... kudos

For what it's worth, in a past career I did tooling and product design. IMO, your concept is really neat but it is too expensive to implement. In other words it will cost too much money to solve a problem that most people don't want to spend that much money on solving.

That's how I see it, but who knows

On another note, a lot of really good inventions have come from small improvements on existing good concepts or products instead of from redesigning the wheel so to speak. Keep the ideas coming @sebastianbach

Space, cost and demand.
To make a coil there needs to be a motor (at least one). Not just any old electric motor but a stepper motor that has enough power to bend your largest wire diameter (let's say 24g), together with a driver circuit. Then obviously you need a mechanism for the wire bending, be it a rotating mandrel or some form of angled feed, plus a mechanism that secures the coil and feeds/trims the cotton and ejects the used ones. Add a compartment for the wire(s) and cotton on top of that.
This all isn't going to be small, you're looking at least at the size of a small mod, it's also not going to be light, the motor will be mostly metal and the mechanism likely metal as well.
A very generous, optimistic approach to the cost would be that of a medium range mod (about $80), and that's pushing it very hard to the cheap side (you'd need very large scale production to even have a chance to match that).

You'll carry the whole coiling jig around uselessly for most of the time though because you won't use it every day. Not even every month. You don't need new coils that often so it's dead weight. You'd have more customers with a stand alone coil maker machine you can keep at home and eg connect to your computer/smartphone (maybe even via bluetooth

) to produce coils on demand, one installed in a mod (which you can have multiple of) just doesn't make a lick of sense at all.

If you put everything together, a mod that's at least twice as big and heavy and at least twice as expensive (plus likely drains your battery quickly) then you won't find many customers, people are looking primarily for the smallest and lightest mod they can get away with. All to carry a thing that saves you 3 minutes of winding and wicking a coil...

You could've come to that conclusion by yourself if you thought about your idea for a minute, at the moment you're using the forum as an idea dumpster apparently without much thought.
There's no shortage of ideas, a lack thereof isn't the thing holding up new products. What's needed are practical ideas that can actually be realized in the real world, everything else is just pipe dreams.

If you're not taking your own ideas seriously then why should anybody else?

Maybe buy some coils? There's no shame in it. I really recommend Nautilus coils. They're amazing.

It's OK to admit that your building skills aren't up there. My coils are fairly shocking - kind of like sozzled slinkies and not much smaller.

They now have coil-less decks that use a plate to heat.

Problem with this idea is that it would be the size of a milk carton. And the effort you're putting into solving a non-problem that doesn't result added value is wasted time.

This is like saying "because I have problems tying my shoes, they should invent a box that I step into and it ties my shoes for me".

IMO either go velcro and buy premade coils or learn to tie your shoes.

The atty would be huge and frankly would probably take longer than the 10 minutes it takes to wrap a coil and install a coil. More parts = more points of possible error/break down.
