Hammer and a pointy screw, put carto in the line between say two paver's, hit screw sharply into carto with hammer. Makes a fine hole so much easier that a drill bit. Takes like 20 seconds to make 4 cartos.
problem is how do you hold it in place... I dont have a vise or anything, thats why I chose to drill

I'm just using a sharpened automatic center punch on the carpet :) I'd probably get the same results with a nail and a hammer... might be a bit trickier though... Drilling was a lot more effort, especially making sure I don't go too deep...

Hell Yeah!!! Drilling is a pain in the ..... Plus getting the glue off is a pain as well. I dont have ever clear ( I dont drink ) and other chemicals you guys are using... I have degreaser but its automotive and I dont think I want to be vaping on something that touch that stuff...

This why I quit doing cartos and just strickly used 901 attys for a while... And last weekend I tried to do cartos again on the AVS, because I missed the vapor production of the cartos, All I got was liquid in my mouth while sucked...

Wished we have a cartos pre-drilled and just ready to order ... But, then again price wise would suck if they're too expensive like $3.50 a pop for one that you'll have to throw away in a week... I like the HV 901 Attys from GG or Ikenvape because they at least last 1 month to a 1month and half... Wish I could do that with cartos and easily change flavors...

Rippspeed, I leave the carto as it is, paper and all. Walk outside, tap a hole in it and put it in the AVS.

I've been using used ones so empty so I have been filling them up and leaving to soak it overnight. This way they seem to be pretty good after about 10 minutes use. If I fill and just use it it takes maybe 20 minutes. I do have a pretty small hole in mine, less than an atty hole.

In the land of no hills and red dirt
I got the 510 cartos and drilled a hole in the adapter with a 1/32 drill bit. Now my drilling is done. It really is easy to just swap out the cartos. I don't even have to take the tank off. Just unscrew the old one and screw on a new one and fill the tank back up.

Where do you drill the hole, Stormy?

I don't know if this has been said here.. but if you are a driller (I am) I found putting the carto on the grinder for a bit, to flatten a spot, helped.. it also gives the drill bit less material to drill through...

if you don't have a wheel grinder I would imagine a file would work, but more elbow grease will be needed (i imagine).

One thing is sure, the carto is they way to go on afs/avs, but then the HUGE collector tank is really not needed since it never leaks (avs leaks from the top actually, not bottom).
So imeo, are we going to see a GGTS/AVS without collector anytime soon, that would help reduce the length of the combo.
On a side note, does anyone use the collector ? i mean it's a nice idea on the paper but first, it doesn't leak (or maybe with atomisers?), second, i wouldn't inhale what's been through, rotted for several days in the tank.

On Cartos they dont but with Me using my Atties they do ...

Dont Vape on 6volt ... go a single CR123 3.7volt and buy an LR carto ...

Yes the masses that use atomizers...

atomizers still leak because of their contruction blobe my friend so collector tank is more than nesessary. Exept this, the tank is the GGs cap too so it cant be eliminated.

ps.... also cartos leak a little either so why to risk anything buddy?

Well maybe my avs is a freak, if i had 3 drops of liquid in say the 2 months i got it it must be the maximum, just like on the afs v2, for me, use of carto = no more bottom leaking.

my avs leak from the top oring when it's lying on a table, but no big deal i remember what i was using 4 months ago (joye 510?) and really this is 3 galaxies above in term of quality and feel.

Plus the fact the gg is big, it did change my smoking habit, no more smoking(vaping) in the streets, it's either home/car/office (yeah i vape at work, lovin it )

I have another question tho, i let my liquid "rot" in my afs v2 for 2 weeks, i tried it and needless to say it did smell bad. Now i've been trying to clean my afsV2 with a lot of stuff (oxyclean, polident).. seems the bad taste is still here (or i'm paranoid). Doing this i let the afs v2 soak too long in water and it started to "rust" (well not really but the metal started changing color (especially on threads)..is it still "safe" to vape ? :)

I'm having little to no leakage to the collection tank with 808 cartos, even with two holes (which works perhaps a bit better than one) on opposing sides. In a given day, I might get 1/2 a drop (just moisture like condensation) in the collector tank.

For me, this is all about flavor and vapor, not cost savings or even ease of use (though I do find it quite simple). Actually, the down side for me is I've tripled my juice consumption because it's just too easy to chain vape... :(

do you use regular 808 cartos or the longer 808 cartos ( turbo carts ) ????
