When people are talking about the taste of the Fluval if you don't rinse it, does it taste like a plastic? I have used the Fluval Foam for a week now and I didn't get any weird tastes until today. I've tried to switch atomizers and still it's the same.

I am currently at work so I can not try any other ways to fix it. I am going to rinse the fluval once I get home and see if that gets rid of what I am tasting.

I haven't tried the foam, but the Fluval water polishing pads did give me a bad chemical taste when used w/o rinsing first. That seemed to improve after rinsing though. They wick well, but they use a lot of juice - more than the standard stuffing that comes in carts.
