Are you talking about the standard kit with just a charger for $35 or the full kit? They only carry the standard kit locally and it sells for $49 which isn't too bad unless there's a place online charging less and shipping it free that will give the same level or support or better. My first one died and would not charge, took it back the same day and got another. That'd never happen with an online shop.

In regards to juice, it depends. Value comes from being unique. If you (as an example) are a dealer and you have nothing but basic flavors in-stock online or in the store you run, I'd value them much less than I would unique flavors that really draw attention. For instance, let's say you're selling strawberry, and all the work that went into making it was adding Strawberry, PG/VG and Nicotine into a bottle, I don't see the major value in that or your reasoning for (possibly) wanting to charge me $5-$10 for 10 ml. I wouldn't pay it.

Now on the other hand, if you created a really nice Key Lime Pie and perfectly balanced key lime, graham cracker and [insert flavor], then I personally see more value in that because it most likely took some time to get the balance correct, so I feel you deserve to profit from your own creation or version of whatever flavor combo you design.

To answer honestly, if it were my shop, I'd be hard-pressed to order 100 of anything unless I knew I was capable of moving it quickly. If it's a small shop (such as the one I have locally), chances are they'd never break even on such a purchase because they promote their biggest profit maker, which is the eGO starter kit (2x 650 mah batteries, 2 tanks, a charger, carry case and one juice of choice - 10 ml) for $59.99. Unless someone knows about the mod or asks about it, they recommend the eGO's and from being in there almost daily, I'd estimate 90% take that deal.

That said, I know this is an example, so if I were to buy 100 @ $35, I'd have $3,500 in them. Since most full kits are selling for $49-$59, I'd price mine around the same and net $1,400-$2,400 in profit from the sales and re-invest accordingly. From a business standpoint, and given how technology is ever-changing, I'd rather run out and guarantee them in-stock in a few days than to over-order and get stuck with them. That's the nature of retail though; you have to factor in shrink costs too, but buying to sell instead of buying to stock helps to reduce that.

For juice, everyone marks up juice costs well beyond 200% I'm almost positive (no way to confirm that, of course - no insider info :)), but....I'm not a wholesaler nor do I have access to discount pricing and I can make the exact same flavors (based on taste - I have no idea who they go through for flavors) for $0.50 per 5 ml (including shipping costs and the bottle), it's hard to account for ~$6-$8 being time/labor and cost of getting it out there.

Profit margins from juice make up for the lower profit margins on upgrade sales.

So i had to stop in the place I used to buy cigs (not for me). They always had some crappy ecig kits - I bought a disposable or two there before I really got started. Well, now, they've got more.
It's not a vape shop - it's a "smoke shop" - lots of bongs and such too.

But anyway - they had, in boxes, a VAMO, a Tesla, and an Innokin iTaste MVP2.
I didn't want to waste their time asking questions - but i did spot the MVP sticker - they want $119 for it.
They also had some of those crappy retail kits with 1 Ego/1 Stardust knockoff - worth what, $12? They were marked $39.
Yikes. I feel sorry for people that go there thinking of starting up vaping.
