juice has a serious markup - I think thats why most B&M have house blends. They can make it for <$5 and sell it for $15-30 for a 30ml. I haven't done the calculation on how much it costs me to DIY, but I'm FLOORED if it was $5/bottle or more.
That said, it doesn't make sense to me shops that wouldn't let you drip their house blend.. if you buy a 30ml @ $15 and it costs them $5 to make it, you just paid for the bottle you sampled and 2 more... at cost anyway. I know there are other costs in running a B&M, and a lot of the "overpricing" at B&Ms can be caulked up as a convenience fee ($2 for a bottle of water at the gas station?? I could buy a 24 pack for $5!! well, you didn't have to go to the grocery store...)
I like to support my B&Ms, so if their markup isn't RIDICULOUS I'll buy from them - like the cost of the product online + shipping + 8.5% (double tax for total amount expected to pay) depending on the product.

I've got some decent juices from Swamp Vapor but I agree about their little IPA wipes not being sufficient for cleaning tips and all the other shops here have the condom covers at least.

I understand the cost to run a shop etc. BUT, when your business is to Sell Liquids I think it might be in your best interest to spend a few bucks (getting your wholesale rates) and use decent setups. You will sell more juice and more advanced setups. That is why you are in business after all, it is ALL you sell.

Got my Lemo today and MBV order but that will need to steep for a few weeks. Luckily the sample pack was mixed 1-2 weeks ago so they are close to ready for sampling. On to building coils and wicking the Lemo now. Thinking I might just get a drip setup to use when I go try juices locally and get it straight from the bottle.

Really though I see myself coming to like a half dozen or so flavors for all day vapes and some assorted others for a flavor mix up now and then. For the all day vapes I am going to go DIY to make bulk and just keep getting the off flavors when they have good deals or sample packs. As of now I have around 20 flavors to play with and will be set for awhile. So next up DIY and I intend to get a heated magnetic mixer when I do. Screw all that waiting weeks when a day or two warm and stirring will do the trick making it homogenized. Just need to find some recipes to get a starting point.. And supplies!! LOL

Thanks for all the replies I enjoy everyone's take on the subject.
