I may be overthinking the "hack" but was wondering if its suspected that the hacker messaged people from vendors usernames asking for shipping details ? I highly doubt it but figured I would ask because I received a message from a vendor stating that I won one of the random prizes in the contest that I was in and to send them the shipping info and name . I sent the info and have yet to hear back from the vendor and the last time they logged in was just after I sent the message. The vendor also did not notify anyone in the thread of a winner of one of the random prizes. Now I know its probably just because the vendor hasn't been back online since sending me the message but theres no such thing as being to safe when it comes to giving out personal information.

Hey Heisenberg - It sounds pretty unlikely to me, but if you'd like to PM me with the details I will double check with the Vendor. Always better to err on the safe side.

Ok - go to first unread takes me to the last page I was on - not the next unread post - no biggie - I'm sure it will get worked out

As for tapatalk - I am running the latest version but it was still a "no go" until I cleared the cache in tapatalk :) In settings - it's the last item - cleared the cache - rebooted tapatalk and it asked me for my current log in information (ie new password) - I'm in! :)

Wait I screwed up ! I forgot I didn't send the reply back once I got it because I was busy in the office. I replied around 9pm and the last activity the vendor had was a few minutes after I received the message , not when I replied.

Just as an FYI:

I've Logged-off . . . Used "CCLeaner" to remove any and all old information, internet files, cookies, cache, etc. - 3x's . . .

Yet - I'm still having problems with being sent to the First page/Origianl post of subscribed threads when posting and the "Go to first new post" and "View First New Post" Options are still not working either or are missing . . .

LOLOLOL, trust me, I didn't change it that much and I still forgot it. Pretty pathetic

Get a password manager....you'll wonder how you ever got by without it. It also allows you to use different very secure passwords for every site, enhancing your own security and privacy. I use 1Password.

Awesome idea and thanks! I have so many passwords, try to make them all different and end up forgetting half of them I don't use as often or apparently after today, that are brand new.

Will it help me when editing and requoting peeps on here and stop taking me back to post #1 in threads too?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: joking of course.

All of my passwords are random collections of letters and digits. That's as strong as a password gets, and I use a different one for every site. Of course then I've got to write them down, but an address-book beside the computer is more secure than two dozen random Internet companies. Most of the time the computer remembers them for me anyway.

And then there's this: xkcd: Password Strength
And this: The Top 50 Gawker Media Passwords - Digits - WSJ

'First Unread' and similar 'memory' settings have probably been flushed - it's back to zero for those I'm afraid.

The first unread issue is happening with threads that have been started after the server update. It is also happening after reading an older thread with new posts and then coming back to it when it has more new posts. This is something that needs fixing.

Edited to add that after replying to a thread the site returns one to the thread's first page. Guessing this issue and the first unread issue are related.

Sorry guys but a new problem has cropped up for me.

I just finished reading a really long thread. Probably a good half hour to 45 minutes reading. I finish reading and try to navigate the forum, up comes the same screen that was showing when ECF was legitimately down. In other words....I got booted off. Now I do know about the remember me and I do check mark that when I have been having to re-log in after getting this boot several times. Each time this happens, I have to clear cookies and everything, google the ecig forum again and relog in. It will NOT let me log in or give me a normal ECF screen until I clear out all cache/cookies/data. I use Internet Explorer as my browser, if that has any meaning.

(When I closed the forum earlier to go to the store, when I came back and tried to get on, the same thing above happened)

I am on my PC and haven't checked if this issue happens on any other device. I will be seeing if this happens on my iPad.
