Good thought gleman but, I feel it is near impossible to go back to those after vaping such as the OP is used to as well as the other members. I suspect if I was car jacked, robbed at gunpoint for all mods and cash I would possibly buy such after I panhandled a couple bucks while walking of my "wanting to hunt down and kill the mf".
Personally I use all mods in rotation and for current activity. Provari being my sitting in my chair relaxing while having several cheap eGo's including twists, a couple of Vamo's etc. that we use on the go. There really is no specific back up as if they are all set up correctly they will all provide a quality vape session no matter what you are doing.
Anyway GL and get back in the game soon OP!

Well I didn't want the guy to be giving out handys under the overpass until he could afford a provari w/ a phiniac tank and boutique juice:laugh:

I have to say the pure mechanical mods do make a solid backup.

I would have a hard time suggesting a Vamo as a backup to a ProVari with the number of failures I've read about. I have a Vamo and it feels cheap to me, it just doesn't inspire confidence for me.

You asked about sources for wick and wire also, Steam Monkey has a good price on RBA accessories, they also carry the CCTS mech mod for $40 which might be A decent low cost backup for you.

I have a ProVari and a Vamo. I use the Vamo due to the VW and the fact I enjoy changing RBA's out frequently. Poor ProVari is just not used much these days, as the order in which I use mine are 1) mechanicals: REO and Caravela 2) Vamo 3) Provari.

The ProVari is a solid back up choice but certainly not a front runner anymore. Should Provape decide to get with it and upgrade, it may get back in the rotation. Just for old times sake, I did pick it up today and set it up with one of my RBA's. It is just too tedious to press that button a bunch of times, get my resistance, wait for it to reset, click 5 times to find my volts, then adjust accordingly and then wait for it to reset. Compared to the Vamo or a mechanical, kicked or not, it just doesn't cut it anymore. So, Vamo is my recommendation for an inexpensive backup. I have found mine to be very reliable with the only problem being that my black chrome has rubbed off from use.

While that is a valid point, it certainly isn't as good as having a reliable backup on hand (I never leave the house without at least 2 PV's which served me well once when my tank took a flying leap and broke.)

I would definitely buy one of those over a pack of cigarettes though, and am glad that they are there. I haven't gone into the gas station to see one though, since I gave up smoking I haven't needed to see the inside of one!

I agree. The mistic has worked well for me, as a backup and when I couldn't whip out a full-sized.
