Couple the excellent advisors in this group with my own serious efforts to become as knowledgable as possible with vaping ,,, at least to the parts I'm particularly interested in, and it seems to me there is just no use re-inventing the wheel when their are hundreds in this group alone who have solved particular needs and concerns .

So I'm looking for simple basic facts with no "in my humble opinion" apologies from serious pros who are just being modest about their deep expertise ...

Simply, I'm at the stage of realization that some frills and unimportant do-dads offered are just that ... But it's amazing to me that just the opposite seems true as well. I'm amazed that sales sites don't really 'super hype' the fact of how deceiving slow battery drop off can be to a real perfectionist or simple vaping 'fussbudget' like myself ...

To have a readout or flashing LED to tell you your at or near the 30% drop off point is great but nowhere near as important in my mind as simply getting a recommendation for a penstyle battery that (by it's very nature) just makes me know by experience with it that it will give me a full 18 to 20 hours of heavy vaping without the need to constantly worry about drop off if I recharge them on a solid and locked in usage limit schedule and have spares to ensure a ready to go battery.

The Madvapes site has ARO 2000mah pentype winders that also allow switching over with button pushes to
watts and of about 24 reviewers many claim an 'easy' day to 2 days of whatever they think is 'heavy vaping' (Mine hardly ever leaves my hand so I take 'heavy vaping' usage claims with a grain of salt.)

I know about box mods and the 'no drop off' giant Provari type units etc but before just starting all over I'd just like to know if anyone with a simple winder type pen style has purchased any brand of 2000mah winders , or higher if there is such a battery ... who are also near 24/7 type sleepless vapers , and who firmly can recommend any ARO winder that one can certainly be sure is at extreme power even after 12 hours ... 12 hours at near 'full-ish' power would be substantial to me as I'd keep several backups to switch over to for the rest of the day.

I'm a chain vaper, and have never seen an eGo type that can keep up with my needs.

Wow Plucker that's bad news ... But how high have you've gone Mah -wise ? Have you used 2000's and if so how many hours did you get ? I'm ok with using several to complete a day where I just didn't sleep but I know heavy vapers can't possibly be getting full cloud after 3 hours with any ARO I've used so far.

You have to open your horizons and lose the eGo pen. The MVP V2.0 would do you well...it has the eGo connection. It worked well for me until I started dripping. If you change up to a 510 connection, there are even more options available that should last you through the day, so long as you don't go down the sub-ohm road.

I believe that the Twist and Spinner do maintain the set voltage until the battery needs to be charged. A basic EGO battery on the other hand would just supply the battery voltage, which would drop as the battery discharged.

OTOH, you won't find a 2000mAh EGO battery.

Sorry, I meant ARO 2000 winders on madvapes ... i'm starting to create confusion by my typo ... I use the Majestic ARO winders that appear to go up to 2000Mah ,at least the ones I've found on MVapes

I was never satisfied with battery life on ANY pen style batteries and didn't find 'battery satisfaction' until I discovered box mods. True satisfaction came, for me, with a dual 18650 box that will last me more than 24 hours with ANY device I use.

Not sure how "serious" you can be about batteries and vaping if you're still using pen style batteries.

I have a MVP 20 W and I get a solid 2 days out of it its 2600mah rating is true. I notice lower watt levels last even longer. when you go from the green light full charge to moderate charge hello light I know the end is near get the red light and you get a very short time left then it stoops working I am a moderately heavy vapor in reality and it works great for me. There are other box mods out there that have even more a higher (Mah) time you can vape with double batteries and all good luck to you Remi Love

So far I've found that anything over 2Ah lasts all day of heavy use.

I build my own battery mods - but if I say anything useful about it, the thread will get dumped in "not advisable"!

I have to laugh at the irony Trucker ... I fly giant sailplane models and have at least 25 of the Lipos pictured below ... that one below is an inch wide and over 5 inches long and I'm scrounging for pen power ! Seems real scary though to get into homebuilt power ... I think I need to start over with a box mod but I will really miss the tactile feel of something more analog -like. By the way,you can get rid of the rubber band attachment and make some wonderful nylon holders .. check out INSTAMORPH in a search ... I use it for hundreds of things ...003.jpg

Go to the Steam Engine battery drain calculator. Fill in all the information using 3.7v where is says 'Nominal voltage and C rating'. The 'C' rating doesn't matter. I used 8 watts in VW mode, 85% 'APV efficiency' and 2000 mAh for battery capacity. It told me I would get 566, five second puffs per charge.

It won't be exact, but should be reasonably accurate as the required calculation is very simple. After that all you need to do is time yourself taking a few puffs and count puffs for say 10 minutes and estimate for the rest of your day. At worst, it will give you a good comparison to the mAh your batteries are now.

Another useful statistic would be the benchmark Dr Farsalinos used for the Diacetyl study: 3ml and 300 puffs per day. That would probably be appropriate for a clearomiser and I would increase the ml somewhat for an RBA or RDA. This gives some rough and ready approximation for the number of puffs you are taking per day from the amount of liquid you get through.

If you like Instamorph, you've love Sugru. Different thing, different properties, but very useful.

I already bought Sugru and gave it a poor review on Amazon ... it seems good only if used in a large 'wad' ... seems to lack 'body' ... kind of like rubber filled with air. Made a washer from it and it was just a light tearable almost like old piece of pancake ...
